🐾 WE'RE HIRING! — Lead Kennel Attendant

Pau Hana Pet Resort in Pāhoa is looking for a dependable animal lover to join our team.

Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 11 AM–6 PM
Approximately: 35 hours/week
Pay: $17/hour during training → $18/hour after successful training

Duties include supervising boarding and daycare dogs, cleaning kennels and yards, feeding, laundry, bathing, assisting with drop-offs and pickups, and completing the evening feeding and kennel routine.

Training is provided. Previous professional animal-care experience is a plus but isn't required.

🐾 We’re down to the final $819! ❤️

We haven't talked about our fundraiser much lately, but we wanted to give everyone an update.

Thanks to 20 incredible donors, our Pau Hana ʻohana has raised $1,681 of our $2,500 goal to rebuild our grooming area after Hurricane Lala. 🌺

That's 67% funded!

We have just $819 left to go, and we'd really love to get this project across the finish line.

To put that into perspective, if 33 people donated $25, the entire remaining amount would be covered. 🐾

Hurricane Lala took down our outdoor grooming area, but our Pau Hana ʻohana has shown us just how powerful a community can be. 🌺

Thanks to our incredible clients, friends, family and supporters, we've already raised $1,611 of our $2,500 goal!

This little space is where our boarding pups get their exit baths, brushing, nail trims and finishing care before heading home—and we're determined to rebuild it stronger and better than before.

We're now just $889 away from our goal.

🐾 Brownie came to Pau Hana when she needed a little help. Now Pau Hana needs a little help too. ❤️

Many of you met Brownie this week after she wandered into Pau Hana all by herself. The response from our community was incredible...

When Brownie arrived, she needed some TLC. We gave her food, a safe place to stay and, of course, a much-needed bath.

But there's a bigger story behind where these photos were taken.

Hurricane Lala destroyed the canopy over our grooming area.

This is the space where we bathed Brownie—and where we give our boarding pups their exit baths before heading home, nail trims, brushing, paw balm and all those little finishing touches. 🛁🐶

Instead of putting up another temporary canopy, we've decided to rebuild it stronger and better.

We've set a goal of $2,500 to create a more permanent, weather-protected grooming area.

And thanks to some incredibly generous friends, family and Pau Hana clients who helped us get started...

❤️ We've already raised $700 — 28% of our goal!

Now we're opening our fundraiser to our entire Pau Hana community.

🐾 FOUND DOG — PLEASE SHARE 🐾

Yesterday, this sweet girl wandered into Pau Hana Pet Resort looking like she needed a little help.

We don't know where she came from or how long she's been on her own, but for now, she's safe. ❤️

We gave her a good meal, a much-needed bath, some parasite prevention and, most importantly, a safe place to sleep while we try to figure out where she belongs.

And as you can probably tell from these pictures... she is an absolute sweetheart. 🥹 She loves people, affection and apparently holding hands.

Our first priority is finding her family. If she belongs to someone, we want to get her home.
