🐾 FROM CRASH LANDING TO COUCH SURFING: The Remarkable Journey of "Crash" 🐾
Grab your tissues, friends, because the story of this little girl is going to take you on an emotional roller coaster. But don’t worry—this ride ends with hope, determination, and a whole lot of Malinois attitude!
As breeders, we pour our hearts, souls, and sleepless nights into every single puppy. We vet homes, we cross our fingers, and we hope for the best. But life doesn’t always go according to plan.
This sweet girl was originally rehomed to a man on Oahu. Fast forward a bit, and we got the phone call that is every breeder’s absolute worst nightmare: she had been hit by a car. 💔
To make matters worse, when we tried to contact the person she’d been rehomed to, his phone number was completely changed. On top of her injuries, she showed some heartbreaking signs of abuse.
Let this be your daily, loud reminder to MICROCHIP ALL YOUR PUPPIES AND DOGS! And most importantly, keep your name and phone number on that chip as the breeder. Because that chip was her ticket home.
It took a literal village, hundreds of texts, late-night phone calls, endless Facebook posts, hundreds of dollars in vet bills, and four absolute angels of human beings to coordinate getting her safely off Oahu and back home to us on the Big Island.
We are eternally grateful to everyone who helped pull off this rescue mission. 🙌
Because she literally survived a car impact like a tiny, furry superhero, we gave her a fittingly tough new name: Crash.
Crash was born on March 20, 2026, making her just about 5 months old. And let us tell you, Malinois DNA is made of pure steel and stubbornness.
Despite a fractured hip, her recovery has been nothing short of miraculous. She has received top-tier veterinary care, including all necessary X-rays, and the docs say NO surgery is required! She currently has just two weeks left of strict crate rest—which, if you know Malinois puppies, is the hardest part of the entire ordeal. Trying to keep a 5-month-old Malinois on "rest" is like trying to keep a caffeinated land shark from biting. It’s an extreme sport in itself!
The fantastic news is that the vet says she is on track to make a 100% full recovery. She has her final follow-up visit scheduled at Maikai Veterinary Clinic on September 13th.
Crash is already being obedience trained and is proving to be incredibly resilient, smart, and eager to please. She is now officially looking for her true, forever happily-ever-after.
What Crash Needs in Her New Home:
A Strict Contract & Rehoming Fee: No exceptions. A rehoming fee applies to ensure she goes to a committed home, and she is protected by our contract for life.
Breed Experience Required: If you think a Malinois is "just like a German Shepherd but sleeker," please keep scrolling. We need someone who understands the intense, beautiful, and chaotic reality of the breed.
High-Drive Household: Crash is high-drive. She wants a job! She will thrive in a highly active household, or with someone passionately interested in dog sports (agility, protection work, nosework—she’s ready to train!).
A Female-Preferred Environment: Due to her past, she prefers a female or mostly female household where she can feel entirely safe while she continues to build up her confidence.
She survived the streets, a car, and a bad situation, and she is still wagging her tail and looking at the world with bright eyes. She is a survivor, a champion, and she is going to make someone an incredible partner.
If you fit the bill and want to welcome a literal miracle into your life, send us a private message for more details regarding her fee and application process. Let’s find Crash the forever runway she actually deserves! ✈️🐕❤️
