Today was one of the hardest days for us. Our beloved Heidi passed away, and we cremated her today. The pain is beyond words. She was not just our pup, she was family, a precious soul who filled our home with love, warmth, and happiness. Her little paws left the biggest mark on our hearts, and her memory will stay with us forever.

The house will never feel quite the same without her, and a piece of our hearts went with her today. But we are grateful for every moment, every cuddle, every look, and every unconditional bit of love she gave us. Heidi, you were deeply loved, and you always will be. Run free, sweet girl. You may be gone from our sight, but you will never be gone from our hearts.

A true bucket-list adventure to welcome the New Year. 1,500 miles with our beloved Fidos 8-pack by our side, and the gift of uninterrupted family time. 🐾💛
This journey wasn’t about the destination alone, but about time spent together; slow mornings, fresh air, quiet roads, quiet moments surrounded by nature and being fully present with our precious senior babies. Every mile was filled with gratitude for their resilience, their stories, and the unconditional love they’ve given us over the years. A special, tender trip to honor them, celebrate their spirits, and create memories we’ll hold close forever. There was no better way to ring in a new year than with paws, hearts, and love all traveling together.
This journey became even more meaningful as we celebrated special milestones along the way; 10 years of Fidos Home and 20 years of rescue work in Texas under Fidos Guardian. It was a moment to pause, reflect, and honor the countless lives touched, the lessons learned, and the love that has shaped our family’s path.
