Throwback to one of my favorite foster groups- the breakfast kittens!
Mama Peanut Butter was found in someone’s yard, she had hidden her four babies in a bag of charcoal. The finder posted saying they absolutely would not feed this poor mama, so we swooped in to grab them.
The babies were promptly named Nugget, Ham, Cheese, Pop Tart and Toaster Strudel.
I was immediately obsessed with them!

All of them found amazing, loving homes.
Sadly Nugget (renamed Gimli) passed away after being adopted.
I am so thankful that their adopters have mostly stayed in touch with me and given me updates.
💛 I miss fostering so very much, but I am glad to have found so many babies their forever homes.

Adoption story!
Dracula (Now Maurice)
One night we got some groceries delivered and when I looked at the delivery picture there was this handsome tuxedo kitty. I went to open the door and he tried to stroll right in! Unfortunately we didn’t have any space for him, and because of his obvious ear tip I wasn’t sure if he was TNR or just someone’s outdoor cat. So I gave him a big meal and he hung out for a while. No chip so we started networking and hoping we could find someone to adopt this sweet boy. He would show up every morning and only wanted wet food 🤣
His sweet purrs and desire for human affection made me wonder if maybe he had been dumped.
We finally got him a spot in a rescue, got him vetted and into a local cat lounge. Turns out he is about 10 years old!
I’m happy to report he is loving his new forever home.

👀 I’m not sure when I got so many followers, but hello! My name is Em- I live in Katy, TX.
I’ve been taking a break from fostering but I have years worth of photos and videos if yall want to see them?

Pictured here is Sammy- he was actually my first foster (fail). He was marked as feral by Katy animal control, but truly was just a scared boy. His beautiful white fur was brownish yellow when we got him, he had an infected toe and was absolutely terrified of people. He spent a few weeks living under my bed and slowly realized he was safe and all he wanted was cuddles. Now he lives out his days safe and inside where he doesn’t have to fight anyone for food.

Feeling a bit emotional as I look back on pictures of Potato today. 2 years ago this scrungly little fluff came into our lives! She was so small we thought she was much younger than she was. It took her ages to thrive, and there were moments I wasn’t sure she would make it. But she’s here, she’s still small and has little legs.. but her personality makes up for that. She’s a spicy tot but always keeps us laughing.
I miss fostering. I know someday I’ll get back to it, but for now I’m going to focus on the success stories. 💛
