understanding the local rules for your local dog park is always a great idea before you go.

As the weather teases us with spring, the Liberty Animal Shelter encourages everyone to get out of the house and soak up the sun with their best friend on four legs.

We would like to remind you ordinance chapter 4-9 states; "When not confined to residential property, the owner or keeper of an animal shall keep such animal under restraint at all times. Leashes are not to be longer than six (6) feet in length. It shall be unlawful for any person owning, controlling, harboring, possessing, or having the management or care of any animal to permit such animal from escaping, straying or running at large." This also means retractable leashes are prohibited.

If you would like to utilize a dog park instead of a neighborhood walk please be courteous to everyone by abiding by the following guidelines.
