This isn’t just a movie night, it’s a full outdoor Animal WelFair + movie experience designed for you, your friends, family, and your pets! 🐕

Join us Saturday, August 22 from 6–10 PM at the Boulevard Drive-In Theatre (1051 Merriam Ln, Kansas City, KS 66103) for a night under the stars celebrating the Pet Resource Center of Kansas City!

✨ What to expect:
🐾 Animal WelFair (6–8 PM) — a fun festival-style fair with local vendors, rescue groups, games, and activities
🎥 Movie at sundown (~8:30 PM) — chosen by YOU through our bracket-style voting link sent after ticket purchase
🐶 Pets are welcome—bring your four-legged movie buddy!

💚 Pricing:
-$10 per child (9 & under)

When 8-year-old Remy's owner noticed a growth on his gums, she scheduled a dental procedure so we could remove it and have it tested.

The good news? The growth was just an overgrowth of gum tissue. But during Remy's dental cleaning, we discovered something hidden below the surface: two teeth that were severely diseased and rotten below the gum line and needed to be extracted.

This is why regular dental cleanings are so important. Many dental problems can't be seen during a quick look at your pet's mouth, and pets often hide signs of pain.

As the longest-serving member of our front desk team, Cecilia has become a familiar and welcoming face to countless pets and the people who love them. Her dedication, reliability, and extensive knowledge help keep our clinic running smoothly every day.

Cecilia's bilingual skills make her an invaluable resource for our community, helping us ensure that more pet owners can access the care and support their pets need. Whether she's answering questions, assisting clients, or helping navigate a busy day at the clinic, she does it all with compassion, professionalism, and a smile.

Looking for great deals while helping pets in need? Join us on Saturday, June 20, for a huge Charity Yard Sale benefiting the Pet Resource Center of Kansas City!

Every purchase helps provide affordable veterinary care, vaccinations, spay/neuter services, and other critical resources that keep pets healthy and in their homes.

🐾 324 Pets Served Last Friday!

Last Friday, our team provided care to 324 pets in a single day!!!

At our First Friday vaccination clinic at Independence Animal Services, we vaccinated 147 pets and got to meet adoptable Ozzy Pawsbourne (1st photo)! If you're looking for a new best friend, go meet this handsome guy. He's incredibly smart, already knows several tricks, and is ready to find a family of his own!

Then, back at our main clinic on 59th st, our team cared for an additional 177 pets through our spay/neuter, wellness, and dental services!

Days like this are about more than numbers. They mean more puppies and kittens protected from preventable disease. More pets receiving care before a medical issue becomes a crisis. More families able to access affordable veterinary services.

Missed us in Independence? We'll be back July 10th from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. providing affordable veterinary services to pet owners in the community!

We had an amazing time marching in the KC Pride Parade this weekend! 🌈🐾

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate, support, and show that our community is strongest when everyone is welcome. We are proud to stand alongside our neighbors, clients, volunteers, supporters, and staff in creating a Kansas City where both people and pets can thrive.
