Update on our Blackhead Black Pastel Enchi Hypo Pied male!

10/11/2026

We really liked how our Blackhead Black Pastel Enchi Hypo Pied holdback male turned out (we’ll share an update of him next), so we decided to keep this female to keep working that direction in the future.

Here’s a lovely lady we hatched out and are growing up over here. Her color is staying so bright so far! ☀️

Correction: And of course she’s also visual Pied (missed that important part in the reel). 🤦‍♂️

(Had to re-post this because something messed up with the audio the first time.)

Why is it so relaxing to watch a large lizard drink water? So peaceful.

These creatures are so much fun to watch eat. SLURP!

Who else has an axolotl??

Reminiscent Reel 4 of 4:

One thing that absolutely never gets old is hatching out snakes with unique paradoxes and other funky patterns/colors. ❤️

Reminiscent Reel 3 of 4:

We have produced MANY Black Pastel Pied combos over the years with our Panda Pied stud. Always a huge fan of the Black Pastel Pieds that have the subtle reddish color tone to them. Can you see that in these ones? 😍😍

Reminiscent Reel 2 of 4:

We produced our first Grey Matters back in 2018. This was the female we decided to hold back that year. We fell in love with her dark gray patch. A couple years ago, we found out that she is also 100% Het Hypo which was a lovely surprise. She’s possibly our most favorite female to see wrapped around a clutch of eggs. And the Grey Matter project is still one of our most favorite non-recessive projects!

Reminiscent Reel 1 of 4:

These were our very first Freeway Pied combos back in 2023, and they were FIYAH! 🔥🔥🔥
