Important announcement! We are merging our Daycare and Boarding FB page to be included with our Rescue page! After years of posting separately our team has decided that the best way for all of our clients and followers to see the impact of what KC PAWS does and how donations and pet services fees contribute on a daily basis, is to have both our rescue and pet services posts on one page. Hi everyone! We are almost completley OUT of martingale collars to send our dogs to foster/adoption with! These collars are important because they ensure that nervous dogs in a new environment cant back out of their collar! So we always use these when sending dogs to new homes to keep them safe. We are almost out of leashes! Today is the final day of so I am attaching our wishlist that has a variety of sizes of martingales and leashes. We need all sizes but we are completely out of smalls!

🎆🐾 4th of July Pet Safety Tips from KC PAWS! 🐾🎆

While we humans may love the fireworks, BBQs, and celebrations, our furry friends often find this holiday scary and overwhelming. Help keep your pets safe and calm with these simple tips:

✅ Keep pets indoors – Fireworks can be terrifying and cause pets to bolt. Make sure your dog or cat is safely inside, away from loud noises.

✅ Create a safe space – Set up a quiet room with their favorite bed, toys, and calming music to help ease anxiety.

✅ ID tags and microchips – Double-check that your pet’s tags and microchip info are up-to-date, just in case they slip out.

✅ Skip the scraps – Avoid feeding pets from the grill! Many foods (like onions, chocolate, and bones) are dangerous for animals.

✅ Don’t bring pets to fireworks shows – The loud noises, crowds, and flashing lights can be overwhelming and harmful.
