Today we’re introducing you to a few very special feline friends hoping the special this weekend brings them the families they’ve been waiting for. 🥹

🐾 Bingus + Thomas
Peek-a-boo! This adorable bonded pair is looking for a home together! Bingus is a 4-year-old girl and Thomas is a 3-year-old boy. Once they get to know you, they’re incredibly sweet and love pets and attention. We would love to see these two head home together this weekend!

🐾 Madam Scrungly
Yes, that is her name. 😂 This sweet girl has had a rough go of things and is looking for a quiet, gentle home where she can finally relax. It may take a little time to earn her trust, but once you do, she is incredibly sweet. Her beautiful calico coat is growing back, and we can’t wait to see her thriving in a home of her own.

🐾 Sydney
Sydney is a handsome 6-year-old gentleman who came to us after his person sadly passed away. He was very attached to them and would appreciate a quiet home and a patient family who will give him time to adjust. He has previously lived with a dog and is reportedly very chatty. 🥹

🐾 Sugar on the Rim
A beautiful, fluffy girl! She’s 3 years old, super curious and loves toys, scratching posts and getting pets. She’d prefer to be the only cat in the home so she can officially assume her rightful position as queen of the castle.

🐾 Cheema
8-year-old Cheema came to us after a house fire forced her previous family to downsize to one pet. Her family told us she loves being close to her people, getting pets and starts purring easily. She even loves playing with little trinkets! This sweet girl is ready for her next chapter. 💙

Every one of these sweet cats has a waived adoption fee this weekend!

Beginning today, August 29th and continuing tomorrow, August 30th, EVERY adoptable pet at KC Pet Project can go home with a loving family for NO adoption fee!

The special applies to ALL pets living at the KC Pet Project - Main Campus in Swope Park, Zona Rosa Adoption Center, and pets in foster homes! 🐾🏡

When we say ALL pets included that means dogs, cats, puppies, kittens and more!

We need our community to show up, adopt and help us send as many pets home as possible!

We’re celebrating the final weekend of the annual Clear The Shelters campaign, led nationally by NBC 's Clear the Shelters and Hill’s Pet Nutrition, with a live adoption event today at our Main Campus from 12-6p.m.. Come meet incredible pets, enjoy all the extras and help us make a HUGE impact for the animals in our care!

What's happening at the live adoption event:

🎁 Freebies from Hill’s Pet Nutrition for adopters

This is the FINAL weekend of the Clear The Shelters campaign, and adoption fees are WAIVED for every single pet in our care this Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30!

The special applies to all pets located at our KC Pet Project - Main Campus, Zona Rosa Adoption Center, and any pet living in a foster home! So yes, puppies and kittens ARE included! 🥰

See a pet you love online? Be sure to check their profile for their current location before visiting! And keep in mind that Petco Cat Habitats are not included in this special.

We asked for pictures and YOU DELIVERED! We received more than 700 submissions from KC Pet Project adopters, and seeing our former shelter dogs happy, loved and exactly where they belong absolutely blew us away.

THAT’S A WRAP! 🎬💙

What a night, Kansas City! We are still reeling from an amazing event. Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Uptown Theater for our 3rd Annual Love Finds a Way Gala and showed up BIG for pets and the people who love them.

From celebrating John and Thor’s incredible story to the sweetest puppy and kitten snuggles, this was a night we won’t forget. 🐾

Every paddle raised, bid placed and gift made helps KC Pet Project continue caring for thousands of pets across our community.
