It's National Veterinary Technician Appreciation Week, and we're showing some much-deserved love to our incredible veterinary technicians and assistants who care for the thousands of pets who come through our doors each year.
These are the people who stay late to make sure a patient is recovering safely from surgery. Who put their lunches aside when an emergency comes through the door. Who sit beside sick or injured animals, watching for the smallest signs of improvement and doing everything they can to keep them comfortable.
They handle some of the messiest, most exhausting and heartbreaking parts of animal welfare with incredible compassion. Their work isn't always easy, but the difference they make for our shelter pets is immeasurable. 🥹

To our veterinary technicians and assistants: THANK YOU for the long hours, the gentle hands, and the countless moments of care that so often happen behind the scenes. We couldn't do this without you. 💙
