💗 SEPTEMBER IMPACTS: SAVING LIVES, ONE CAT AT A TIME! 🐾

September was another month of showing up for the cats and communities that need us most!

Through the dedication of our volunteers, fosters, supporters, and community partners, Kitty Cat Connection helped make a difference in the lives of 53 cats this month!

Here’s what your support helped make possible:

🐾 17 owner surrenders given a safe place to land
🐾 20 stray intakes brought into our care
🐾 10 cats transferred from overcrowded shelters
🐾 5 kittens born safely in our care
🐾 44 cats found their next chapter through adoption or barn placements
🐾 10 community cats received TNR services, helping prevent future litters and improve colony welfare

While we celebrated 44 placements, we also continued working behind the scenes to support community cats, families in crisis, and animals with nowhere else to turn.

Every intake represents a life. Every adoption represents a new beginning. Every TNR surgery helps create a more sustainable future for our community.

To our fosters, volunteers, donors, adopters, and everyone who continues to stand beside us: THANK YOU. None of this happens without you!

Together, we are making a difference, one paw at a time. 🐈

This October, Kitty Cat Connection is celebrating 20 years of rescue! 🐾💗

For two decades, we have opened our doors and hearts to cats in need—saying yes to critical care cases, neglect and hoarding situations, overcrowded municipal shelters, TNR programs, and barn homes across the greater Kansas City region.

As a small, foster-based, community-supported rescue, we have relied entirely on people like you to make this mission possible. Together, we have saved the lives of more than 9,000 cats. Every life saved is thanks to our fosters, volunteers, adopters, transporters, and donors.

As we celebrate this milestone, we are asking for your help to continue our mission through our 20th Anniversary Food Drive. Keeping our cats fed is essential to our operations, and every contribution makes a difference.

Here is how you can support the drive:

- Drop-Off Location: Bring donations to PetSmart Tiffany Springs, located by our adoption center.
- Amazon Wishlist: Shop online and have items delivered directly to us via our Amazon wishlist: https://a.co/08OvXPnn

Whether you have been with us for two decades or are just discovering our work today, thank you for believing that these lives matter and for helping us save over 9,000 cats.

Here’s to 20 years of rescue and to many more lives saved together!

A 💔 Our sweet Ms. Olve (Olive without an eye 😅) needs your help. 💔

Just a few short weeks ago, Ms. Olve came to Kitty Cat Connection in pretty rough shape. She had a ruptured eye that required an emergency enucleation, but after surgery, she was finally on the road to recovery. Our goal was simple: get this sweet girl healthy, help her gain enough weight for her spay, and then find her forever home. 🐾

Yesterday was supposed to be a big step toward that happily-ever-after.

Unfortunately, when our vet opened her up for her spay, they discovered fluid in her abdomen. Further testing revealed the diagnosis no rescue ever wants to hear: Olive has FIP.

Thankfully, FIP is no longer the devastating diagnosis it once was. Treatment is available and success rates have come a long way. But treatment still comes with a significant financial cost, especially for a rescue already caring for so many cats and kittens.

In just a few short weeks, this girl has already endured so much — losing an eye, surgery, recovery, and now an FIP diagnosis. She has fought this hard to get here, and we want to give her every chance to keep fighting. ❤️

Would you consider donating toward Olive’s FIP treatment?

Every $5, $10, $20 — every single donation adds up and helps give Olive more time to write the happy ending she deserves.

🐾 Please help us keep fighting for Ms. Olve.
🐾 Donate. Share. Tag a friend.
🐾 Help us get this girl through treatment and into the forever home she’s been waiting for.

Olive has already survived so much. Let’s not let FIP be the end of her story. ❤️🐱
