This was the third time he had been returned in just one month.

I looked at the notes beside his name and saw the same words written again and again.

“Too much energy.”
“Too difficult to handle.”
“Can’t settle down.”

But when I looked inside his kennel, I didn’t see a difficult dog.

I saw a **Cane Corso** sitting quietly, watching every person who walked past him.

His powerful body carried so much personality, but behind those watchful eyes was something deeper...

A fear of being left behind again.

People often see their strength first.
They see the confidence, the curiosity, the endless energy.

But they don’t always see the heart underneath.

A **Cane Corso** doesn’t love halfway.

When they trust someone, they give their whole heart.
They follow you.
They protect you.
They become your loyal shadow.

He wasn’t asking for someone to change who he was.

He was simply hoping someone would understand him.

Because sometimes the most misunderstood souls are the ones who have the biggest hearts.

And sometimes all they need is someone patient enough to see the love hidden behind their strong, loyal spirit. ❤️🐾
