This was supposed to be a completely different post...
We were originally planning to write a post officially welcoming Scout, a promising young Labrador puppy, into our care and training program.
The plan was simple: dedicate our professional time and resources to turning him into a working companion, and announce that we were looking for the perfect forever family that would meet his needs.
But instead, we are writing to ask for your help.
Shortly after coming to us, Scout was diagnosed with a severe leg condition (Grade 4 Medial Patellar Luxation). His orthopedic surgery is officially done, and he is handling his laser and acupuncture therapy beautifully.
Soon, he will begin underwater treadmill sessions, followed by specific strength exercises down the road to get his muscles back so he can fully reach his potential as an incredible working companion.
Because this unexpected hurdle is a significant financial challenge for a small training business, we have set up an official GoFundMe page to help recover his medical and rehabilitation costs.
We've shared the full story, our timeline, and the itemized vet invoices over on his fundraiser page. If you are in a position to contribute, or would be willing to share his link to help us spread the word, Scout and we would be deeply grateful for your kindness. ❤️
