Bohannon is in need of a new place and person to call his own!!

Bohannon has boarded with me and taken several classes at The Well Mannered Canine. He is about 100lbs. Does very well with his commands. Has some anxiety around other dogs and a tendency to be a bully. He is protective and a resource guarder. He HAS BITTEN his owner. Not out of aggression, but while guarding a high value toy.
He will do best in an only dog situation. No small children or animals. He would like someone active with a firm commanding temperament. He will need a containment plan but does well with a medium fence. Doesn’t try to climb or anything.
He is currently located in Kenai. Family will keep him as long as they can to find him a suitable home.
He is a very promising dog. With a little effort and a strong grasp on his attitude, he will make a fantastic companion. I am willing to offer training for resource guarding and reactivity to whomever can give him a home. No charge.
(I would take him myself if I didn’t have 7 already)

KPAL Rescue’s Chip n’ Clip 💜🐾
‼️THIS SUNDAY‼️

We’ve seen time and time again how microchips can reunite families once a pet becomes lost or missing. In an effort to get more pets in our community microchipped, we’re holding another Chip n’ Clip! In addition to microchipping, there will also be nail clipping provided by The Dog Father Grooming and Paws-Itively pampered grooming & self wash LLC!

This event will be at The Well Mannered Canine (located at 36355 Kenai Spur Hwy in Soldotna, behind True Blue Too) on Sunday, August 28th from 2pm-4pm. Please park in the back of the building.

Microchip - $25
Nail Clip - $15

Your pets must be fully vaccinated to be microchipped or have their nails clipped at this event. We will be able to accept cash or credit. Additional donations are also much appreciated. See you there! 🤗

We’ve got a new addition to AK9 Beach House!! As we take some time to get Jericho adjusted to his new home and sort out his medical issues, we are going to have to decline reservations for any new clients. Feel free to send in your inquiries though. We have no idea how long the process will take and can always make some good referrals 🤗

Good morning local dog lovers!! While I am not the biggest supporter of dog parks in general, I do recognize their need and use. ESPECIALLY in a community like Kenai where there are so many travelers coming through, loose dogs on the beach and apartment dwelling canines that need some off leash time.
That being said, I’d personally appreciate your support of the planned expansion of the park and resolution 2022-26. A park is more than just an empty field to run and it should be done right the first time! Speak up and speak out this Wednesday!!

Friends, it’s that time. We need you to lend your voice once more. We have a resolution up for vote this Wednesday that will make a substantial difference for our park.
Please consider coming to the council meeting or participating via Zoom/ phone this Wednesday and speaking during the unscheduled public comments in support of Resolution 2022-26.
I’ll post some information in the comments and I’ll go live with details regarding the resolution and what we are asking for today at noon and 5pm. Feel free to share as far and wide as you can!

Ms. Fern is a rockstar! She loves her early morning trot around the neighborhood (with the occasional bunny run to get the blood pumping 😉)
