Meet Wilma! ❤️

Sweet Wilma has been with us for a few months now, and the changes we have seen in her has been great! When Wilma first arrived, she was frightened and unsure of people. Everything around her felt scary. With patience and lots of love, she has come out of her shell. Now Wilma is a sweet and loving girl who happily accepts pets, attention, and affection from the people she trusts.

At just 10 months old, Wilma still has her whole life ahead of her and is more than ready to find a forever home of her own. Watching her gain confidence has been rewarding, and now we would love to see her continue to blossom with a family that can give her the love she deserves.

Wilma has worked hard to learn that people can be kind, and she is ready to share her heart. If you are interested in Wilma, please fill out an application at animalrescueproject.org or visit us at the rescue! More information about her can also be found on our website and Petfinder.

Meet Prince Pudding! ❤️

Earlier this month, Prince Pudding got to go out for ice cream and he had an absolute blast! He would love nothing more than to do it again, this time with his forever family. Prince Pudding is a 10 month old pup who loves people and enjoys playing with other dogs. He is currently thriving in foster, where he has been doing great with both crate training and potty training.

What makes Prince Pudding even more special is that he has been with us since he was just 3 months old. While we've loved watching him grow up, we would much rather see him spending his puppyhood in a home of his own.

Prince would do best in a home without cats, but if you're looking for a fun, loving companion who enjoys both people and canine friends, he may be the perfect fit for you. Help us find the family Prince has been waiting for. If you are interested in him, please fill out an application at animalrescueproject.org! More information about Prince Pudding can also be found on our website and Petfinder.

Meet Machine! ❤️

Machine is a 5 year old kitty who has retired from motherhood and she is embracing the empty nester life. After spending so much of her time being a mama, she’s ready for a home where she gets to be the center of attention for once. Machine knows her worth and carries herself like the queen bee she is.

She has an independent side and is perfectly content doing her own thing, but she’ll absolutely seek out attention and affection when she decides it’s time. One of her favorite activities is window watching and observing the world from above on a tall cat tower where she can oversee her kingdom. Because of her queen bee personality, Machine would do best with calmer, more submissive cats who will respect her space and let her take charge. She is not a fan of dogs, which can be pretty common for mama cats who have spent so much of life looking after everyone else.

Machine has done enough caring for others, now it’s her turn to be spoiled. If you are interested in Machine, please fill out an application at animalrescueproject.org or visit us at the rescue! More information about her can also be found on our website and Petfinder.

Meet Mayhem! ❤️

Mayhem is an 8 year old male Treeing Walker Coonhound mix weighing in at 80 pounds, and despite being one of our older dogs, he still has plenty of life and personality left to share.

His name kind of fits him, Mayhem absolutely loves being outside and soaking up all the sunshine. Once he gets outdoors, he’s ready to explore and doesn’t quite understand that being on a leash means slowing down! He can be strong and likes to pull, so he will do best with someone who can comfortably handle his size and strength. Mayhem would thrive in a home with a fenced yard or plenty of room to stretch his legs and wander around. Apartment life would not be a good fit for this guy, he is every bit the loud, classic hound and isn’t shy about using his voice.

One thing we have learned is that Mayhem shows amazing promise with potty training. Even in the shelter, he will hold it overnight and wait until he gets outside to go. He loves attention and treats, but he also has an independent side and enjoys spending time outside just moseying around and taking everything in. We also learned that Mayhem previously lived with multiple dogs.

While he may be considered a senior compared to some of our younger dogs, he still deserves the chance to spend his golden years in a loving forever home. If you are interested in Mayhem, please fill out an application at animalrescueproject.org or visit us at the rescue! More information about him can also be found on our website and Petfinder.

Meet Blue and Bear! ❤️

These two brothers have officially turned one year old while in our care and, if you know anything about black labs, you know shelter life is absolutely not for them.

Already high energy dogs by nature, they spend too much of their time in kennels and despite the incredible efforts of our volunteers and staff, they simply can’t get enough time out to fully meet their needs. Blue and Bear are looking for homes, together or separately, with people who understand the energy, training, and commitment that comes with young labs.

They need room to run, things to do, and families willing to dedicate time to helping them become the amazing dogs we know they can be. Both are dog friendly! Because of their energy levels and their lack of awareness of just how big they are, older children would be the best fit. They have not been cat tested, but they have shown signs of prey drive, so a home without cats would likely be best.

These boys have spent their teenage months waiting, we would love nothing more than for their adult years to be spent in homes of their own. If you are interested in Bear and/or Blue, please fill out an application at animalrescueproject.org or visit us at the rescue! They do not need to go together and would be perfectly happy finding separate homes. More information about them can also be found on our website and Petfinder.

Meet Bandit! ❤️

Bandit loves love and attention, those may just be his two favorite words if he could speak English.
Bandit is a 1 year old cat and he is a big guy! But even the biggest personalities can have their anxieties and special needs. On the outside, Bandit may seem laid back and cool with everything, but on the inside what he truly craves is a calm, peaceful home where he can feel safe and settle in.

Bandit is incredibly friendly and enjoys being around people, but his ideal home would be one without kids running around all the time or dogs. A quieter environment is where he shines due to having stress cystitis when put into stressful environments. He would do well with calm, like minded adult cats when introduced properly and slowly, he can sometimes be a bit of a bully though, he likes to be the king of the household!

Bandit is an amazing cat with so much love to give, and we know there is someone out there looking for a companion just like him. He deserves a home where he can relax, be spoiled, and enjoy all the attention his heart desires. If you are interested in Bandit, please fill out an application at animalrescueproject.org or visit us at the rescue! More information about him can also be found on our website and Petfinder.

Meet Emmy ❤️

Emmy is a 1 year old female who has been through a lot more than cats should ever have to experience.
She was abandoned with her babies and when she made her way to us, she was very shut down. People scared her and all she wanted to do was protect her babies. Since then, Emmy has been with one of our amazing fosters, where she has been learning how to simply be a cat again, without babies to care for and without being stuck in a cage. She was recently spayed, meaning she never has to go through having babies again.

In a calm environment, Emmy truly shines. She turns into an absolute love bug who seeks out attention, rolls all over the floor, purrs nonstop, and loves curling up in your lap. Because of her past, Emmy’s ideal home would be quieter and more predictable. She would not enjoy a busy home with lots of parties or young children running around. Instead, she would thrive with people she can trust and cozy places to retreat to whenever life feels overwhelming.

Emmy does have a current "rodent" ulcer which is from a condition known as Feline Eosinophilic Granuloma Complex (EGC). Despite the name, it is not caused by rodents. It typically appears during periods of stress and can be managed with medications such as antibiotics or sometimes steroids when needed. She currently has one that is healing with proper medication management.

Emmy has come such a long way and deserves a home where she can finally relax, feel safe, and be loved. If you are interested in meeting Emmy, please head to our official website to fill out an application. More information can also be found on our website and Petfinder.

Meet Skeeter!

Skeeter is a 1.5 year old Jack Russell mix searching for her forever home and a chance to finally have a life of her own. Skeeter originally came to us after being abandoned with her puppies and left loose on someone’s property. Thankfully, they were all able to be saved and all of her puppies have already found homes. Now it’s Skeeter’s turn.

She has that classic Jack Russell energy and playful personality! Skeeter is still working through some puppy biting during play, as she most likely never had the chance to learn appropriate boundaries growing up. She’ll do best with a family willing to continue helping her learn and succeed. Skeeter also has plenty to say, she would happily sit by the window and keep you updated on every passerby she sees!

She does well with other dogs, even ones bigger than her! While she isn’t a huge fan of young kids, she does well with older children who can understand her play style and respect her space. She has not been cat tested yet, but we would be happy to do so for any approved applications. Skeeter has already done the hard work of raising her babies, now she deserves a home where she gets to be the one being loved.

If you are interested in Skeeter, please fill out an application at animalrescueproject.org or visit us at the rescue. More information about her can also be found on our website and Petfinder.
