Looking for the right home 🐾
Posting for a local friend — she is looking to re-home her 4-year-old Anatolian Shepherd / Maremma / Karakachan mix, approximately 100 lbs (give or take).
He needs a calm, adult-only home with no children. He can become anxious or uncomfortable around kids and would be happiest in an environment without the noise, unpredictability, or close handling that can come with children.
He is also very nervous with new people, places, and situations and can be slow to adjust to a new environment. He will need someone patient who understands that he may take time to feel safe, settle in, and show his true personality. A quieter home with someone willing to let him decompress at his own pace would be ideal.

Because he is a large livestock guardian breed mix, we would especially love to find someone who understands large guardian breeds and is comfortable giving a nervous dog the time and space he needs to adjust.
This is not first-come, first-served. Finding the safest and best long-term fit is the priority, and we’ll be asking questions about potential homes, lifestyle, other animals, property, and dog experience.
