It’s been a minute, friends! 🤍 How are you all doing? Phew! Life seems to like throwing curveballs my way lately. Honestly, at this point, I think I’m an all-star batter. ⚾️ I’ve been entirely offline because my family has been going through an incredibly intense season. To give you a snapshot of why I disappeared: My mom had aneurysm surgery, and recovery has been really tough. On top of that, she recently lost sight in her right eye and is facing surgery yet again. My dad has been dealing with major dementia issues. We finally got his medication dosages right, but he still has his difficult moments. My partner had to undergo stomach surgery.... And right in the middle of all of that, school started back up for the kiddos, and I’m their teacher. (We homeschool with a charter) Needless to say, I’ve been wearing many, many hats. For a while, my mental health completely tanked. I had to go into hiding to heal, protect my peace, and do only what was absolutely necessary to keep my head above water. Because of that, my poor kennels, both training and boarding, had to be put on the back burner yet again. (Though I am currently running my puppy classes, which has been a wonderful bright spot!) And you can even see, Lenny in this video is rusty in his wait command too. But we try to practice when we can. To everyone who has reached out: I know I haven’t responded to your DMs, comments, or texts. I am so, so sorry! Please know it wasn’t personal. I simply did not have the emotional or mental capacity to reply. Thank you for your grace, your patience, and for sticking around even when the lights were out here.
