To our Fantasy Farms Junior Show Team:
Well done this show!!!
Well done this whole season!
One remaining show left for the season…
Each and every one of you has made such great progress over the past show season and we are so proud to have you on our junior team to represent the barn. The level of sportsmanship you have all shown has been nothing short of spectacular! You truly are a TEAM and have supported each other throughout the good and not so good this season. Your should all be extremely proud of that, and parents you can pat yourselves on your backs for these wonderful people you raised.
I know you may think that Coach Tina and I are extremely hard on all of you, and you would be right. It is our job to push you through the difficult times to get the best results out of you. We see your abilities and potential even when you can’t just yet.
You are on this team for a reason… because we know you can do it! Because we are proud to have you represent Fantasy Farms Equestrian Center. You have each competed in shows that went smooth and easy, and then there were the shows with the opposite outcome. The ones where you feel nothing is going right… you may think….” it’s just too hard", "my horse isn’t listening”, “the others are better than me” and “I just can’t do it!”…yup…those shows are tough to get through. But you have each gotten through your version of that with the support of your teammates, family and trainers! We are all proud and see the accomplishments you have made, even when you don’t. YOU are the hardest and sometimes the meanest critic you have!!!! My advice if you want to pursue riding, BE KINDER TO YOURSELVES! Treat yourself the way I have seen each of you treat your teammates when they have struggled!
Remember those shows and lessons that made you work to the point of tears, the falls that knocked the wind out of you, all the prep work hours you have put in and try to remember one thing…”your worst day in the saddle, when you think everything is wrong, is some other young persons DREAM that may never come true!!!” Riding and bonding with these beautiful creatures is a privilege not a right. It should come from a place of love and determination, not for the want of a ribbon or trophy. Some of your best accomplishments didn’t win a tangible prize, but they are still wonderful and many times huge accomplishments!
Trust us… keep moving forward the way you are right now, push through the times you feel stuck and discouraged, celebrate the achievements you make every time you are on the horse and we promise, the ribbons and trophies will come. Let them be nice mementos to keep and remind you of these competitions, but push yourself because of your dedication to this sport and the love of these amazing animals!
You are all amazing!!!!
xoxo
