Dodge County Humane Society We are a 501(c)(3) not for profit shelter that services the Dodge County area. We operate under DATCP Dog Facility Operator License Number 267299.

�We do not have online applications. All applications have to be completed in person at the time of meeting.

�We do not require appointments to view the animal you're interested in. We however do not have open viewing of our dogs; so we do ask that you know who you would like to meet with.

�Our application process is not first come first serve. We base our decisions on what we feel would be the right fit home for the animal. Not all adoptions are same day. It depends on the status of the animal you're interested in and if management is available.

�We schedule all of our cat and dog surrenders for certain days and times of the week. If this is something you have to do please give us a call for further pricing and scheduling information.

🩶 SMOKEY WANTS A HOME, NOT A ROOMMATE! 🩶

Meet Smokey, a handsome 10-year-old gentleman who’s ready to enjoy the finer things in life: cozy hiding spots, peaceful naps, and a home where he can be the boss of his own space. 😂🐾

Smokey came to us with his housemate, Harry, after their owner sadly passed away. Unfortunately, once they arrived at the shelter, Smokey decided he was officially DONE with having Harry around. 🤣 Apparently, living together was one thing, but sharing shelter space? Absolutely not!

Since then, Smokey has really started coming out of his shell! He LOVES to burrow, and once he learns to trust you, he may even let staff hold him. Add in those sweet purrs, and you’ll quickly see the softer side of this guy. 🥹❤️

Smokey is looking for a calm home where he can settle in, feel safe, and enjoy his golden years without a feline roommate he didn’t ask for.

✨ CHUCO: 10 LBS OF PERSONALITY & ABSOLUTELY NO INTEREST IN BEING EVERYONE’S FRIEND 😂 ✨

Meet Chuco! This 8-year-old, 10 lb Chihuahua has places to go, things to sniff, and opinions he’s more than happy to share. 😂❤️

Let’s be honest: Chuco isn’t everyone’s dog, and that’s okay! He can be selective about who he warms up to and may be a little mouthy with some strangers, while being perfectly comfortable with others. He also has some pretty strong opinions about meeting other animals. We remind him that he is, in fact, NOT the CEO of everything… but he’s still working on accepting that news. 🤦‍♀️😂

Underneath those big Chihuahua opinions is an active little guy who LOVES getting outside, going on long walks, sniffing absolutely everything, and playing with his favorite toys. Squeaky toys? EVEN BETTER! 🧸💥

Chuco needs someone who understands that he has boundaries, respects his space, and appreciates his big personality in a tiny package. He’s not looking to be everybody’s best friend, and we’re not going to ask him to be. We just want him to find someone who appreciates him for who he is! ❤️

We currently have several dogs who need daily medications, and Pill Pockets make it SO much easier to get those important meds down without the daily battle of “Did you actually swallow that or did you hide it behind the couch?” 😂

Some puppies are happy to sit on the sidelines and watch the world go by. Tulip? Absolutely not. This little girl has places to be, things to sniff, and a whole lot of life to live! 😂💕

Meet Tulip, a 15-pound, 3-month-old mixed-breed girl who came all the way from Texas and is ready to plant her little paws right in the middle of someone’s heart. ❤️

Tulip is an outgoing, happy-go-lucky little lady who loves being part of the action. Whether she’s exploring somewhere new, hanging out with her favorite people, or making friends with dogs of all sizes, she’s ready to see what the world has in store for her! 🌎🐾

Now, don’t let that sweet little face fool you into thinking she’s a full-time cuddle bug. Tulip enjoys snuggles, but she prefers to make the official announcement when it’s time for affection. 😂 She’s got a little independence, a lot of personality, and absolutely no plans to let anyone else run her schedule!

The best part? This girl is already off to a great start! She’s well socialized with dogs of all sizes, mostly house trained, and crate trained. With her fun-loving personality and plenty of puppy potential, Tulip is ready to grow into an amazing little companion. 🌷❤️

☀️ BLOSSOM IS SMALL, SWEET, AND ALREADY HAS HER EYE ON THE GOOD LIFE! 🌸😂

Meet Blossom! This 3-month-old, 15-pound mixed-breed cutie made her way to Wisconsin from Texas, and she’s officially ready to trade shelter life for a family of her very own! ❤️🐾

Blossom has that lovely mix of confidence and sweetness that makes you want to scoop her up and keep her forever. She enjoys being near her people, soaking up affection, and making herself right at home. And while some puppies are busy looking for their next big adventure, Blossom knows that sometimes the best plans involve finding a sunny spot and simply enjoying life. ☀️😎

But don’t mistake her love for relaxation for a lack of puppy skills! This little lady has been busy learning how to be the best housemate, too. She’s mostly house trained, crate trained, and has been well socialized with dogs of all sizes. Basically, she’s bringing some pretty great qualities to the table for a baby who’s only 3 months old! 🥹💕
