Dodge County Humane Society We are a 501(c)(3) not for profit shelter that services the Dodge County area. We operate under DATCP Dog Facility Operator License Number 267299.

�We do not have online applications. All applications have to be completed in person at the time of meeting.

�We do not require appointments to view the animal you're interested in. We however do not have open viewing of our dogs; so we do ask that you know who you would like to meet with.

�Our application process is not first come first serve. We base our decisions on what we feel would be th

e right fit home for the animal. Not all adoptions are same day. It depends on the status of the animal you're interested in and if management is available.

�We schedule all of our cat and dog surrenders for certain days and times of the week. If this is something you have to do please give us a call for further pricing and scheduling information.

Meet Axle

Some dogs come into the shelter loud and outgoing. Axle came in carrying the weight of always needing to be on guard.

At 8 years old, this handsome guy is still learning that life can be soft. That walks can be peaceful. That not every new person or situation has to feel scary. Beneath the nervous energy is a dog who desperately wants comfort, routine, and someone willing to meet him where he’s at.
