Dodge County Humane Society We are a 501(c)(3) not for profit shelter that services the Dodge County area. We operate under DATCP Dog Facility Operator License Number 267299.

�We do not have online applications. All applications have to be completed in person at the time of meeting.

�We do not require appointments to view the animal you're interested in. We however do not have open viewing of our dogs; so we do ask that you know who you would like to meet with.

�Our application process is not first come first serve. We base our decisions on what we feel would be th

e right fit home for the animal. Not all adoptions are same day. It depends on the status of the animal you're interested in and if management is available.

�We schedule all of our cat and dog surrenders for certain days and times of the week. If this is something you have to do please give us a call for further pricing and scheduling information.

Jeffrey isn't the kind of dog who walks into a room and immediately steals the spotlight. Although he is certainly handsome enough- Jeffrey can be nervous.
Sometimes he's the dog who quietly watches, other times he barks in alarm. Most of the time, he just needs a sniff and a second to evaluate his new company.

There are some cats who thrive in a shelter environment. And then there are Marvin and Maggie.

These bonded 5-year-old tabby siblings are doing their best, but the shelter is simply not where they're meant to be. Raised by a senior owner in a home, they've spent their lives in a world that felt familiar. Losing that world has been difficult. Now they're surrounded by unfamiliar sights, sounds, and people, and they're struggling to find their footing.

Marvin and Maggie aren't looking for a home that expects them to be social butterflies on day one. They're looking for someone who understands that trust takes time, especially when life has turned upside down.

At just 9 months old and 54 pounds, this handsome shepherd mix is everything you'd expect from a young dog—curious, social, playful, and ready to experience the world. Whether it's a walk, a car ride, a game of tug, or meeting a new dog friend, Ace is convinced every day should be an adventure.

He's the kind of dog who wants to know what's around every corner, which means he's still working on his leash skills. New sights, new smells, new places? Ace wants to investigate them all. The good news is he's eager to learn and picks up on expectations quickly.

If you're looking for a little dog with a big heart, Rhett would like to apply for the position. At just 13 pounds, this 2-year-old sweetheart is happiest when he's close to his people. Rhett is the kind of dog who wants to be part of whatever you're doing—whether that's relaxing on the couch, going for a walk, playing with toys, or simply hanging out together.

He's playful, affectionate, and has a gentle nature that makes him easy to love.

Like many sensitive dogs, Rhett can be shy when meeting new people and struggles with being left alone. Shelter life and big changes can be hard on him, but once he feels safe, his loving personality shines through. He's looking for a patient adopter who understands that confidence takes time and that some dogs love with their whole heart.

While she's sweet and affectionate with her people, she's also independent enough to entertain herself and enjoy some quiet time when needed. She's looking for someone who sees her potential and is ready to help her keep moving forward.

What Mila offers in return is a loyal companion with a goofy streak, a love for adventure, and enough personality to keep you smiling every day.
