Soggy Paws Grooming Local grooming in Juneau Alaska. Doing all kinds of grooms on appointment only. able to do all kinds

07/28/2026

Unfortunately I have to make a sad announcement.

It's looking like we wont be able to reopen our doors for the foreseeable future. We hope to be able to regroup and try again in the next few years.

With everything happening at the old shop our savings is completely gone and we dont have a way to recoup the loss and find a new spot.

Out of our home isnt an option anymore and grooming from people's personal residence also isnt an option.

We are going to miss all of you dearly and all of our wonderful fur babies.

We hope to reopen in the next few years and see you all again soon, but unfortunately this is the end of soggy paws grooming for now.

Unfortunately we don't have a great update reguarding returning to grooming very soon.

The property management has decided that we are to blame for the water leak saying it's plumbing. Our plumber came out and said it isn't a plumbing leak but a running water leak.

They don't want to fix it, and we can't safely groom in a space with mold.

We are trying to find another space for us to move to to begin grooming again and are trying everything we can to get up and moving again.

Update on the shop

As of right now it doesnt look like we will be opening again on the 12th as the plumbing needs for both the old location and the new wont be able to be addressd in that time.

We Are working with the Juneau Economic Development Council (JEDC), plumbers, and property management to get things in order.

We Are also looking at other options to get some dogs groomed in the meantime. We haven't decided yet if that means temporarily moving back to our home location or seeing if we could temporarily use another facility in town. No definitive decisions have been made.

We appreciate all of you being patient and understanding as we move forward and continue to apologize for the inconvenience this causes you.

We will continue to update here as we know more.

Thank you,

An update on the shop
As it would turn out, the plumbing at the new space wont fit our requirements for bathing and has some issues from previous tenneants that needs to be addressed before we can move forward.

A plumber is comming in to see what can be done to get us in as soon as possible, but its looking like we will have to be closed longer than the 12th.

I will hold out and messages until 72hours before the 12th and then notify those whose appointments are affected if we need to remain closed longer.

We apologize for this delay and are working as hard as we can to remedy this situation. We appreciate your understanding as we move forward.

Thank you,

For anyone receiving automated messages for confirmation about your appointment, please ignore them. You wont be charged.

We haven't taken down appointments to keep anyone who hasn't been notified from taking the "open spot"

Sorry for the confusion.

Attention everyone 4/21/26

For any of my customers that have appointments this week that are or have loved ones that are immunity compromised, the groomers are sick. Not so sick we cant work, but sick non the less. So if you need to reschedule because of that no worries, or if you need to come in in a mask, we have given the heads up. We wont be wearing them as we dont have any and dogs get weird when we wear them.

Thank you in advance and we apologize for any inconveniences this may cause you.

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to let you know that we now have an automated answering system for the business line that can help you make appointments.

We have had a bunch of calles at 11pm and 1am for appointments and we often have to stop grooming to answer calls and make appointments. So to ensure we can focus on your dog and get them out in a more timely manner we have implanted this system.

Please call it at your leisure and test it out and send us any feedback for changes you'd like us to implement or let us know if you liked it!
