URGENT! We saved Mr Pete from a high-kill shelter in Ca and got him transported to ID. A guy in Boise did a meet and greet and agreed to adopt him and picked him up from the foster. The Foster just notified me that he took Pete to the shelter becuase he said he was too much to handle. wtf? We are a rescue. Our mission is to "rehome" dogs in need. Not put them back in harm's way. If an adopter can not keep the dog they are required to return it to the rescue! Now this poor boy is going to be even more traumatized. Rescues invest a lot of time and money into saving these dogs and getting them to safety. We are trying to locate which shelter Pete is at and get him into another foster. A little backwards tonight. Here are the photos of the menu. Not posted on the website yet...and as what has become the normal - some items are contingent on our delivery of food actually arriving tomorrow. They skipped us on Monday, it has been fun. See you soon.

So many pretty veggies. Add warm jasmine rice and your choice of meat: beef, chicken or tofu...until 5pm it is cooked to order as we ran out of so much today. And choose thai dressing or thai peanut sauce.. Still have many other yummy options too.

BREAKING NEWS

From the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR) regarding Old Emigrant Fire near Pendleton

As of 6:30 p.m., CTUIR Emergency Management reports a Level 3 “GO NOW” evacuation order is in effect for the area of milepost 8 on Old Emigrant Hill Road to Deadman’s Pass on the northside of Interstate 84. The Old Emigrant Fire, as last report, has grown to approximately 1,000 acres.

Officials said a search and rescue team is being deployed to ensure all domiciles are checked.

If you are being impacted by today’s fire and need immediate assistance with essentials like drinking water, emergency supplies, or evacuation-related resources, CTUIR says to call Department of Children and Family Services at 541-969-8413. These resources are available to support and help keep families safe.
