These hatchling California kingsnakes are getting settled into their new baby tubs! 🐍

Each enclosure is carefully set up with fresh substrate, patches of moss for added humidity, secure hides, and enrichment to encourage natural exploration and provide plenty of places to feel safe. Even at this tiny size, creating a comfortable and stimulating environment is an important part of helping them grow into healthy, confident snakes.

The diversity coming out of our ball python season has been incredible! This year’s hatchlings include Clowns, Albinos, Pieds, Dreamsicles, Champagnes, Gravel combinations, Mystic Potions, and many more exciting genetics.
From bold patterns and high-contrast colors to nearly patternless animals and unique multi-gene combinations, every clutch seems to bring something completely different. We are excited to watch these hatchlings shed, color up, and develop into truly outstanding animals.

They're here!

Our F2 generation Tiger Ratsnake hatchlings are officially starting to pip and emerge from their eggs, and it's one of the most exciting times of the year. Watching these incredible snakes make their entrance into the world never gets old.

Tiger Ratsnakes are among the most impressive colubrids, combining striking black-and-yellow patterning, impressive size, and an alert, active personality. Producing an F2 generation is especially rewarding because it represents another step toward establishing strong, captive-bred bloodlines and reducing reliance on imported animals.

Over the next several days we'll be watching the rest of the clutch emerge, complete their first sheds, and begin feeding. We can't wait to see how each of these little tigers develops!

Stay tuned for individual photos and updates as these amazing hatchlings begin their journey.

Killer Clown ball pythons really do bring the best of both worlds. The Super Pastel influence gives this animal that clean, bright look, while Clown adds the bold pattern disruption and unmistakable head stamp that makes the combo so easy to love.
This one has that polished, high-contrast appearance that only gets better with age. A beautiful example of why Clown projects are always exciting.

A little montage of some fresh hatchling carpet python goodness. These zebra and caramel babies are already showing off incredible contrast, clean patterning, and that bold little carpet python attitude right out of the egg.

This incredible Paradox Banana Pinstripe is one of those animals that makes you stop and stare. Its face is almost perfectly divided down the middle, with a dramatically darker left side contrasted by a bright, vibrant right side. It looks as if two different snakes were seamlessly joined into one.

Exciting hatch day here at Premium H**petological Designs!
This clutch represents a pairing of Goldeneye het T- Albino × Goldeneye het T- Albino, giving us the chance to produce some truly eye-catching babies. Blood pythons are already known for their incredible colors and stout, powerful build, but the Goldeneye gene adds an extra level of brightness and contrast that really stands out. Combined with the T- Albino project, these hatchlings are showing off some beautiful potential right from the egg.
One of the most rewarding parts of working with recessive projects is finally seeing years of planning come together when the eggs hatch. Every clutch is a reminder that selective breeding is equal parts science, patience, and a little bit of anticipation.

The Lavender Albino gene has become a favorite among ball python enthusiasts for good reason. Unlike a standard albino, Lavender Albinos replace many of the bright white and yellow tones with rich oranges, golds, and soft lavender hues that continue to develop beautifully with age. This Champagne Lavender Albino combines those vibrant colors with the unique pattern and reduced contrast of the Champagne gene, creating a snake that stands out from every angle.

This hatchling is easily one of the most visually striking ball pythons I have ever produced. The combination of Pastel, Banana, and Pied resulted in exceptional color, with bright yellows, rich lavender tones, and a pattern that immediately stands out from the rest of the clutch.
Pictures honestly do not fully capture how impressive this one is in person. It is the kind of animal that makes you stop and take a second look every time you open the tub.
