It has been a long time since my last post. I've been out of work recovering from the past two back surgeries that I had. May 1st will be my 1-year anniversary since my second back surgery. All is well, and I am ready to be back in business! I am re-launching Lori's Perfect Persians and Grooming Salon, LLC at Ward's Creekside campground located just South of the Undercliff Grill. Unfortunately I will no longer be breeding Persians at this time. I am definitely offering expert grooming services. You can drop you fur baby off for a luxurious groom while you check out Ward's water park. They also have floating and fishing available. Located in between Neosho and Joplin, there are many options for a variety of things to keep you busy while waiting for your dog or cat. I am available days and evenings for appointments. You don't have to worry about your fur baby being loved and taken care of because I have a standard poodle, a golden retriever and a Chow Chow. It has been a while since I updated my page. I started falling ill last fall. It eventually led to life threatening spinal strokes affecting my left leg, bladder, and bowls. I went through a major back surgery in February. I am also very sad to announce that my male Persian, Jax, died of urethra blockage shortly before I had emergency surgery. Athena is doing good. I may end up finding another male Persian in the future, but I am in no hurry. I loved my baby, Jax!
Before I got sick, I was working to attain a business license, and a business account to include grooming. I've been a professional pet groomer for 10 years. I've always worked for someone else, and now I am ready to work for myself. My official business name is Lori's Perfect Persians and Grooming Salon LLC. I am working at Pinnacle Veterinary Clinic in Neosho, MO. I basically rent their space in the back. Here are some before and after photos of just a few I have groomed. I groom all breeds and cats.

Athena is my pet, and I enjoy sharing her kittens. People also enjoy seeing my kittens. I have invested a lot of money and time into my babies. I am still learning right now. It isn't right to be shamed for asking questions or pursuing your passion. I do not profit off of 11 kittens in two years, while paying around $700 a year on my website alone! I also pay vet costs, food costs, toys and other cat supplies. I didn't even sell all of her babies. Some were given to family. I have tracked every litter and know exactly where they are. Do not assume my cats are in poor conditions either. Check your facts and your back yard before you assume things about me. I learn every day and strive to become better. If anyone would like to mentor me, I have great credit and a work ethic like no other. I work full time as a pet groomer, and I won't be attacked for this either. I know you have to start somewhere, and I won't give up. I recently enquired about Show Persians from a cat breeder and they never responded back to me. I was honest about my intentions and was completely ignored. I believe they are the ones complaining. I would have welcomed some advice but instead was attacked. People reached out to me to make me aware so I could stand up for myself. This is what that looks like. Thank you for all the continued support and understanding.

I was feeling pretty crushed by some of the comments from before, but I have decided to reopen my website. It turns out there are very wonderful people in the world that look forward to seeing my kittens online, and I don't want to disappoint anyone. Thank you so much for the support everyone. I just want everyone to know that I enjoy sharing my babies, and that is truly the biggest reward I get out of this. I don't make a profit doing this. I spend more on my cats and kittens than I could ever sell them for. I also track every litter Athena has to ensure she isn't having them too soon. In fact, I won't have any more kittens available until later next year. Until then. 🙂♥️

All I wanted was to have a few kittens without people trying to destroy me. One picture was taken right after a litter was born and someone went nuts over it claiming to know how terrible of a breeder and groomer I am. I am disgusted as well. Now, I am wanting no part in sharing about my Persians or anything else in my life for that matter. So I will be ending my website and all breeding of my sweet Athena. In fact, this is my last post as a Persian cat owner.

Google SEO has me listed as a pet store. Just to be clear, I am currently breeding one female at home, and in the past two years, she has had only three litters. I do not over breed and it is not about the money. I have a full time job as a professional pet groomer. My cat does not pay my bills. She is spoiled rotten. I pay hers! I breed Persian cats because I love Persian cats. I would have to have like 100 females to make a living off selling cats. That's just a guess too.
