🐾❤️ A Little Reminder About Our Sweet Senior Pups ❤️🐾
As our pups get older, grooming can become a little harder on their bodies. Senior dogs may have arthritis, sore joints, trouble standing for long periods, weaker legs, sensitive skin, health conditions, or simply get tired and stressed more easily than they used to.
Because of this, grooming a senior dog may look a little different — and that’s okay! 🥰
At Bark Bath & Beyond, our main priority with senior pups is COMFORT & SAFETY FIRST. ❤️
🐶 We may give them extra breaks during their groom.
🐶 We may allow them to sit or lay down when possible.
🐶 We may not be able to get every little hair perfectly even if standing becomes difficult.
🐶 We may recommend a shorter, easier-to-maintain haircut to make future grooming more comfortable.
🐶 If your pup becomes overly tired, stressed, or uncomfortable, we may stop the groom rather than push them past their limits.
✨ A perfect haircut is never more important than your senior pup’s safety. ✨
Please remember that as dogs age, the grooming experience they handled perfectly when they were younger may become much more difficult for them. We ask our pet parents to have a little understanding if their senior pup’s groom isn’t absolutely perfect. We would rather send home a comfortable, happy pup than push them too hard just to make every hair perfect. ❤️
We absolutely love our senior babies and want their grooming days to be as gentle, comfortable, and stress-free as we can make them. 🐾🥹❤️
They’ve spent their whole lives loving us — they deserve a little extra patience in their golden years. 🐶💕
