Farm dogs have a way of convincing everyone they are indestructible.
They run pastures, ride in trucks, investigate barns, follow equipment, chase things they probably should not chase, and somehow still show up at the door ready for dinner, seemingly unfazed.
That lifestyle also means they encounter ticks, wildlife, injuries, parasites, and plenty of opportunities to get into trouble.
Farm dogs still need routine exams, vaccines, heartworm prevention, parasite control, and dental care.
And because working dogs tend to keep going despite discomfort, take a few minutes occasionally to check paws, nails, ears, teeth, and body condition.
Tough dogs need veterinary care too. ❤️
Thumbs up if your farm dog has had their proper vet care this year 👍
