J-S Equine Bringing dressage fundamentals to the western world to build a stronger athlete in both horse & rider

05/17/2026

🐓 Riding Lessons Available 🐓

As summer approaches, J-S Equine is excited to offer riding lessons with availability opening up 7 days a week in the Rockvale area. Lessons are tailored to both horse and rider, with a focus on creating confident, educated partnerships through correct fundamentals and clear communication.

My program blends western horsemanship with classical dressage principles, emphasizing rider biomechanics, balance, softness, responsiveness, and practical real-world horsemanship that carries outside the arena. Whether you’re looking to improve foundational skills, refine your riding, build confidence, or develop a softer and more willing horse, lessons are designed to meet you where you’re at.

No school horses at this time but will have an intermediate and above lesson horse available midsummer.

ISO: Searching for a solid, been-there-done-that gelding for a client and their family to enjoy. Nothing fancy required — just safe, reliable, and good-minded. This horse will be going to a knowledgeable, experienced home where he’ll be well cared for and appreciated.

Ideal horse:
• Gelding
• Approximately 10–15 years old
• 15hh+ preferred
• Sound, sane, and suitable for a variety of riders
• Trail experience and a good brain are a huge plus

Looking for the kind of horse the whole family can enjoy with confidence. Please PM J-S Equine with information, photos, videos, and price if you have something that may be a fit. Respectable budget for the ideal horse.

Training Available Starting in July

At J-S Equine, I specialize in developing soft, responsive, and well-balanced horses through a foundation of western horsemanship and classical dressage principles. My goal is to create confident, capable partnerships by improving communication, rider position, and overall feel.

I previously owned and operated a successful training, lesson, and boarding program on the West Coast for nearly 10 years before relocating to Montana. With a newly built arena at home, I’m excited to continue growing my program and working with horses and riders in this area.

As I prepare to welcome a new baby this spring, I will be stepping back from taking in training horses for a short period. Lessons will remain available throughout my pregnancy, with full training availability reopening in July.

Reach out to get on the schedule or to talk through your goals—I’m happy to help you and your horse build a solid, lasting foundation.

✨ HAUL-IN LESSONS NOW AVAILABLE ✨

Good riding starts with a solid foundation.
At J-S Equine, we bring dressage fundamentals to the western horse—building partners that are soft, balanced, and willing, no matter the job.

A horse that moves correctly stays sounder, stronger, and happier. Whether you trail ride, rope, run barrels, or step into the show pen, correct balance and relaxation create a horse that can go do a job and hold up doing it.

LESSON FOCUS

• Softness and clear horse-rider communication
• Balance, straightness, and correct body use
• Strength, flexibility, and injury prevention
• Improved rideability and behavior
• Rider position, feel, and body awareness
