Update: as of now I have SO many inquiries about sweet Rosie, please be patient as I work through all these messages and for now please hold any new ones. Thank you everyone for being so willing to take on this girl:)
***special needs*** Looking for a foster for an 11 month old girl. Please read full post.
Rosie was diagnosed with Tricuspid Valve Dysplasia: stenosis at a very young age. This is something she was born with. She did have a Tricuspid Balloon Valvuloplasty procedure done at Purdue University in April 2026. The procedure was successful and Rosie is on medication for the rest of her life. We do not know how long this will hold and Rosie may have a very short life or she may be with us for years. There is no way to know. At this point she acts completely normal and you would never know she has anything wrong. Most likely one day she will pass from heart failure unfortunately. We have given her the best chance at as long a life as she is able to have.
We are looking for a loving family that wants to give Rosie the best life while she is on this earth. She is loving and sweet as can be, she’s a little wild at times and definitely has energy as an 11 month old. Due to being on diuretics she does need to urinate more often than most dogs so a home with easy yard access or a doggy door for potty would be perfect. She does crate well and can hold it overnight if managed correctly.
Please feel free to inquire if you are willing to take Rosie on. She will need medication refills but they are reasonable in cost. Foster will pay for her food/medication and routine care. Rosie will not be spayed as it is unsafe to put her under for a surgery I believe. She can always come back to me if anything becomes too challenging. I just want her to get the loving attention she deserves. She does get along well with other dogs.
