Meet Cupcake!

***ADOPTED***

Meet Cupcake!

My name is Cupcake. I was surrendered to the shelter when my owner could no longer care for me. I am an affectionate and outgoing girl. I love to play with my toys and with the other cats and kittens here at the shelter. If you are looking for a friend for your current kitty, then I’m your girl! I am about 6 months old now. Would you like to stop by and visit with me?

We all need a few good and true friends in life - and one of them should always be a Beagle!

Stop by Benson’s in Johnstown tomorrow between 11 am - 1 pm and meet our adorable boogie-woogie Beagle boy, Mickey!

Mickey will be signing pawtographs, making friends, and accepting compliments and treats. He's 7 - 10 years old and very well-mannered with other dogs, cats, and older kids and would make a fine family addition. Adoption applications will be available too!

Hope to see you there!!

Recently, it has been brought to our attention that there may have been some misunderstandings regarding the fate of surrendered animals at our shelter, due to a false belief that we euthanize at Ayres. We are unsure of the exact origins of the rumor, but we simply wanted to clear up any doubts and publicly reinforce the fact that it is 100 percent untrue, and completely unfounded.

With that being said, it is important that we communicate and clarify that Ayres is a devoted Quality of Life, NO KILL shelter in Sprakers, NY. Regardless of the length of time an animal has been in residence at Ayres, we would never euthanize on the basis of space constraints, age of the animal, or illnesses that are potentially treatable and/or curable. Our "Quality of Life" designation means that we closely monitor our animals for indications of mental or physical suffering, and will do what is needed to make their lives what we know they can and should be.

Please be assured and fully aware that at Ayres, each and every animal that comes through our doors is promised the very highest possible level of compassionate care and affection, up until the day they ultimately find a forever, loving home.

Thank you!!
