These two happy faces belong to Bubba and Sophie. 😍

Big life changes can bring about different behaviors in dogs, and that has been the case for these two upon moving homes with their humans. Bubba has started up with quite a bit of anxiety when left alone, and Sophie has been showing some reactivity towards small dogs in her new neighborhood.

Life can be crazy and unpredictable, so we’re especially proud of their mom for knowing they deserve to feel just as comfortable in their new home as the humans do. Looking forward to continuing to see positive changes in these two! 🩵

When your mom is friends with a dog trainer, you’re forced to stay with said trainer and learn stuff when Mom goes on vacation! 😆

Russell is an absolute beauty of a dog, and would probably be best suited running fields looking for pheasants all day if he had it his way. He has SO much get up and go in him! I’m sure he’ll find opportunities for that in the future, but he also gets to live the calmer lifestyle of being his parents and sister Benelli’s absolute best companion (and hopefully a minimal pest to the family kitty!). With that will come weekends at dirt bike races, outings with friends and other dogs, and many off-leash adventures.

He loves playing with dogs, so seeing another while he’s on-leash leads to a fair amount of frustration that comes out as barking. He’s made a ton of progress during his stay, and I know his parents will do amazing keeping up with teaching him what he should be doing when he sees another dog he’d rather be playing with than walking past calmly!

Thanks for the many laughs and distractions this past week, Russell. It only took the entire week for Dory to finally accept your craziness and actually play with you rather than glare at you. 😂♥️

Oh, Travis. Where to begin with this special guy?

A few months back Travis’ mom had reached out looking for help with some of his behaviors around people that came to the house regularly. After a phone consult and a few reschedules later (thanks Wisconsin winters) we made the 2 hour trip up to work with the family this weekend.

Although home now and exhausted from the trip, it was a weekend to reset in the dog training world. A weekend to be reminded of how awesome of dogs there are out there, and how committed of owners there are as well. A weekend to spend some much needed one-on-one time with Kiwi. 🥝

After spending 10 hours working together we walk away with this singular picture of Travis to show off how handsome he is. (The photogenic ones only require one take - Kiwi outtakes to come later 😂) We were present, we worked HARD, and we greatly hope our paths cross again in the future because this guy and his family will hold a special place in our hearts after this weekend!

Sweet little Gracie Mae started private lessons today and absolutely rocked it!

She has a great foundation laid down already. Fine tuning some of her skills and working impulse control, especially around her senior 4-pawed sister, are what we have ahead of us. She’s lucky to have great humans who want to give her the best life possible!

Anyone else live too close to manure access or just Opal?? 🤢

I wish I could say this was the first time. Or better yet, the last time. But I’m sure she’ll find a way to roll in it again soon!
