Thank you SO MUCH 🤩 to everybody who sent us foods!!! It helps more than you know!!

If anybody has an extra dog food container, we can definitely use one! Someone reached out needing one because theirs is broken beyond use. We also have someone donating some food but it needs to go into a new container so it all kinda works out hahaha

Yall are the best and the animals I’m blessed to serve and I appreciate you so much 🫶🏼

We need dog food! 😭🐶

Our dog food supply is completely out, and we’re going to run through the remaining cat food quickly. All of the dry cat food pictured is already spoken for and will be delivered tomorrow!

If you feel led to donate locally, we could absolutely use the help restocking our Pet Supply Pantry so we can keep helping families keep their pets fed and at home. 🫶🏻🐶🐱

Dog food is our biggest need right now, but wet and dry cat food are always appreciated too! ❤️

Todays been a hard day… and I definitely feel like i failed Aslan (fka Mr. Dude)…

Please, I beg of you community, spay and neuter your animals, and get them their yearly core vaccines. All Aslan’s pain could’ve been prevented if someone would’ve spayed his mom. His life mattered!

I am heartbroken today that I had to be the one to usher him to the rainbow bridge but at the same time I am thankful because I know someone cried over him bawling like a baby. I know he knew love in his last moments. 😭🐱

Unfortunately, we don’t have the update we were hoping for with Mr. Dude. 💔

Mr. Dude tested positive for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus). His injured leg is also causing him pain and would need to be amputated.

Because of his FeLV status, Mr. Dude would need an appropriate living arrangement following surgery where his needs could be safely managed. Unfortunately, KSB does not currently have an appropriate FeLV-specific placement available, nor do we have the resources at this time to create and maintain one.

After considering his medical needs and the options currently available to us, we’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to have Mr. Dude humanely euthanized rather than allow him to continue living in pain.

We want to be very clear that an FeLV diagnosis alone does not mean a cat needs to be euthanized. This decision is specific to Mr. Dude’s situation and the resources and placement options currently available to KSB.

We hope that one day our resources will allow us to expand the types of cats and circumstances we are equipped to help. Unfortunately, we aren’t there yet.

This is absolutely not the outcome we wanted for Mr. Dude. We’re thankful we were able to get him somewhere safe, have him evaluated, and make sure he will not continue living in pain. He mattered, and he was cared about. ❤️

Mr. Dude (he will absolutely be getting a new name, just needed something fast for the vet’s file😅) is with the Kay Foundation! So incredibly thankful we were referred to this AMAZING resource!🙏🏼

The quote we received was $300 for neutering, all his core vaccines, a combo test, his ear tip, his chip (when we say we’re gonna be responsible for an animal for the life of that animal, we really mean it) and the treatment if the leg does not need to be amputated. If the leg does have to come off it’s $800. If you don’t know, THAT’S A STEAL!!!!

This whole thing wouldn’t have been able to come together if it wasn’t for a community who cared about cats 🥺 It makes us cry in the best way to see unhoused animals still taken care of, because just because they don’t have a place to call home, doesn’t mean they don’t deserve love and care. 🫶🏼🐱

As always our linktree will be in the comments if anyone feels led to donate towards this sweet kitties care!

Today’s adventures include (other than the obvious feeding of our two colonies) taking Mr. Dude here to the Kay Foundation in Dallas! We were contacted because he isn’t using one of his back legs, so while snipping is absolutely in the plan, we’re gonna get that leg checked out too and make sure our dude isn’t in any pain.

I’m truly so blessed that THIS is what I get to do with my life 😭🫶🏼🐱🐶

Went out to the property with the dogs needing help. It’s now 17 dogs. (Not all are pictured) The males are very people friendly and want all the loves. The girls are more aloof, but they weren’t aggressive at all. We are trying to get assistance from more established rescues to help us with these babies. They need all vetting done, and then they should make great farm dogs! The caretaker of these dogs also has chickens on the property, and the dogs didn’t seem bothered by them!

As always our linktree will be in the comments if you feel led to donate in anyway. Sharing the post is also so incredibly helpful and appreciated because maybe the person who sees it can take one of these babies in! 🐶🫶🏼

We are currently working on multiple cases, including 20+ dogs and 30+ cats spanning over 5 different caretakers. We are actively exploring different funding avenues to help get these animals taken care of, but funding continues to be one of our biggest challenges.

The cat side of our Pet Food Pantry is still doing well, but the dog side is hurting badly. 😔🐶

We want our caretakers to know that we are still very dedicated to seeing these cases through and getting these animals vetted and, when the situation calls for it, relocated.

It may take more time than any of us would like, but we are determined to find the resources wherever we can to help y’all get these babies taken care of. ❤️🐾

Want to help us get these babies taken care of? 🐾
If you’re able to donate monetarily, our linktree will be in the comments! With 50+ animals currently needing some form of assistance, every single dollar adds up. Whether it helps buy a bag of dog food, contributes toward a spay/neuter, or helps cover other veterinary care, it all helps us get one step closer. ❤️

The best way to end the night! 🥹🐾
Hanging out with and feeding one of our colonies!

These are YOUR donations in action! These kids absolutely love their wet food! This particular colony has to be fed separately tho, because they will try and start fights over the food 🤣😅 We have no problem obliging!

Now if only there was a way to not create so much trash that will end up in the landfill 🧐🌎❤️

Seriously, THANK YOU to everyone who has donated! These are exactly the bellies your donations are filling! 🫶🏼🐱
