Dogs, dogs... and more dogs! Reactivity? We don't know her 🐶

Last week we took these two reactive-in-training dogs to Willow Springs park in Johnson City to put their new skills to the test.
Needless to say, they both passed with A+ and a pop up sticker 📝
(which was really a whole bunch of cheese and jerky)

Update on Ash and Nyx, the two big reactive dogs who went to the park yesterday!
Moments that couldn't be captured on film but I'm very proud of - TWO other reactive dogs came up on us unexpectedly on our trail. BOTH DOGS LISTENED TO MOM'S DIRECTION! We came across I believe 8 dogs total, and neither dog lost their cool a single time.
So proud of this team!

That chill you get after you finally get to experience the world and enjoy it without reacting to triggers that are all around you 🐶

Today Ash and Nyx went to Steele Creek Park remained calm around ducks, human passengers on the trail, bikes, and DOGS!

So proud of these two, as well as their wonderful owner who refused to give up on her dogs!
Today truly proved what some wonderful communication and teamwork between dog and handler can do 🩵

Need help getting your dog ready to go in the crate? No need to schedule a session, use this free info graphic to help you out!

🐶Positive crate training can help shelter dogs adjust comfortably to their new home, giving them a space to go when feeling overwhelmed.

🐶Crate training is important even if you don't ever want to leave your dog in a crate, because if there is ever an emergency situation where your dog needs to be transported or stay overnight at a vet - they will have to stay in a crate!
If you ever want to try boarding your dog, CRATE TRAIN THEM!

Positive crate training helps boost confidence in dogs who don't love confined spaces.

If your dog has crate TRAUMA, this will sound a little more simple than what your dog needs, because instead of going straight into positive training you will have to do some counter conditioning methods to change your dogs perspective. These cases take time, but patience is key.
