Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. 🇺🇸❤️

From all of us at Dogwood Pet Spaw, we extend our deepest gratitude to the heroes who served our country and to the families who carry their legacy forward.

As we spend time with loved ones — including our loyal four-legged companions — may we never forget the true meaning of Memorial Day.

I will update as soon as anything becomes official 🌟 Thank you to our wonderful Dogwood family for sharing and helping make her soon-to-be family complete with this sweet soul ❤️. 5month old, female golden retriever puppy looking for her forever home. She is very sweet, great with kids (still a puppy and is learning about not jumping) and can be timid with other dogs. She’s curious about cats and might need supervision until she learns how to interact with them. She is full of energy and kisses and hasn’t met a stranger 😋. She’s kennel trained and has been working with a private trainer to help with manners. Please message Randi on Facebook or call the shop to learn more!

Oh, Woody. 😔 Left in a kennel in an apartment for six weeks. Now he needs a soft place to land.

Here’s how you can help Woody who is at Kingsport Veterinary Hospital:

🚨 A Special Request for Our Kingsport Veterinary Hospital Family 🐾

We are reaching out to our wonderful Kingsport Veterinary Hospital community for a little help for a very special dog named Woody.

Woody has spent the last six weeks of his life confined to a kennel in an apartment, and as you can see in the photos, he is very thin and in need of some TLC. Thankfully, a kind-hearted person stepped in and rescued him, but she needs a temporary foster home for about a week while she works to safely separate and prepare space for him in her home.

During this short time, Woody just needs a safe, quiet place where he can be watched, fed, and given a little love while he recovers from the situation he came from.

Of course… if someone happens to fall completely in love with Woody and wants to give him a forever home, we don’t think he would object to that either. ❤️

If you are able to foster Woody temporarily, please comment on this post or send us a message. The person who rescued him will be monitoring this post closely so we can quickly connect anyone willing to help.

Even if you can’t foster, sharing this post could help Woody find the safe place he needs right now.

To the lives cut short, yet never forgotten.

To the hands that held each other through smoke and sorrow.

To the firefighters, police, medics, and all who carried the weight of that day, you showed them what it means to be unbreakable.

To the dogs, loyal and tireless, who searched through devotion and purity.
