🐾 Rabies Awareness: Protect Your Pets & Your Family 🐾

We want to make our clients aware that a rabid cat in a neighboring county recently attacked two people. While rabies is uncommon, it is a serious and potentially fatal disease—and vaccination is the best way to protect your pets and your family.

💉 Please make sure your pets are up to date on their rabies vaccinations. Keeping dogs, cats, and other pets properly vaccinated helps protect them if they encounter a rabid animal.

⚠️ If you see an animal behaving unusually, do not approach or attempt to handle it. Animals that are sick with rabies may act strangely, appear unusually aggressive or friendly, have difficulty walking, drool excessively, or otherwise behave abnormally. However, unusual behavior can have many causes, so it’s safest to keep your distance and contact local animal control or wildlife authorities.

If your pet has been bitten or had contact with a wild or unfamiliar animal, contact this clinic promptly, even if your pet is vaccinated.

Please take a moment to check your pet’s rabies vaccination status. If you’re unsure whether your pet’s vaccination is current, give our clinic a call—we’re happy to help. 🐶🐱

Stay safe, stay aware, and keep those tails protected! ❤️

Thank you to everyone who liked and shared our post about the litter of kittens found after being dumped on the side of the road! has offered to accept them into their rescue! This is a huge blessing as we were told by every other rescue that they were all full and not accepting any more kittens. (Shameless plug to spay and neuter your pets! The rescues being full is not their fault!) As sad as we are to see them leave the clinic, being in a rescue will greatly increase their chances of finding their furever home.

How heartbreaking💔😥
One of our HBAH family saw someone dumping these adorable kittens on the side of the road. Thank goodness they were there and able to rescue them right away! These little ones are incredibly sweet and playful! Aside from some minor scratches from their previous rough life, they have a clean bill of health! We can’t wait to tell you more about them soon and when they would be ready to find their forever home! 😻🐾
