“Did someone say the B word?! I could have SWORN I heard someone say BALL! WHERE IS IT?!”

Around here, you have to be VERY careful saying certain words out loud. “Treat,” “outside,” and especially “BALL” are known to cause immediate head tilts, frantic searches, and approximately 47 dogs suddenly volunteering as tribute.

For some of our pups, ball is LIFE. Tennis ball? Treasure. Squeaky ball? Even better. Giant ball they can barely fit in their mouth? CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. A ball another dog has even though there are twelve identical ones sitting nearby? Obviously, that is the ONLY ball worth having.

Whether your pup could play fetch until our arms fall off, prefers proudly carrying their emotional-support tennis ball everywhere they go, or simply enjoys hoarding three at once like a tiny furry dragon protecting its treasure, we’ve got them covered!

With plenty of toys, friends to chase, humans to convince into “just ONE more throw,” and balls galore, daycare is basically a ball-loving pup’s dream come true.

New faces, new friends, and the very first day of what we hope becomes one of their favorite places to be!

There’s something so special about welcoming a pup through our doors for the very first time. To us, they may be a brand-new faces to become best friends with, but to you, they’re your baby. Your best friend. Your little shadow waiting for you at the door. We know how much trust it takes to leave that precious face in someone else’s care, and we never take that lightly.

Their first day is all about exploring new smells, building confidence, getting comfortable, and meeting LOTS of new friendly faces to love and play with, whether those faces have hands or paws! Before long, the nervous little first-day steps turn into wagging tails, new best friends, and excitement when they realize exactly where the car is taking them.

“Big dogs? What are those? We tiny tots run this place! WOOF!”

At least, that’s what our small yard pups would like everyone to believe. There’s something extra special about walking into our tiny tot yard and immediately becoming a piece of furniture. One pup in your lap, two under your feet, another between your legs, one somehow on your shoulder, and before you know it, you’re buried beneath a mountain of paws, fluff, and tiny bodies stepping all over you like you were born to be their personal seat.

Don’t get us wrong, we LOVE our big babies, but there’s something about being completely swarmed by tiny pom-poms and little fur balls all demanding snuggles at the same time that just heals the soul. Who needs therapy when you can sit on the floor and be buried in tiny dogs?

We LOVE when Bulleit comes to vacation with us because not only is he one giant love bug, but we’re also about 99% sure he’s actually a fish disguised as a dog.

If we allowed it, Bulleit would NEVER leave the pool. Swimming isn’t just an activity for this boy, it’s a lifestyle. The hardest part of his day is accepting that pool time eventually has to end. He can barely stand the fact that he doesn’t fit in his water bowl and, despite all evidence suggesting otherwise, he remains very persistent in trying.

Some dogs were born to run. Some were born to cuddle. Bulleit? Bulleit was born for the WATER. At this point, we might as well stop calling him Bulleit and start calling him AQUA-DOG!

Don’t let these big, bright smiles fool you. These pups absolutely DESPISE it here. It’s truly awful.

Imagine being forced to spend your day surrounded by your favorite puppy friends, getting endless ear scratches, belly rubs, cuddles, and attention from your favorite humans. Then, as if that wasn’t bad enough, you have to run around, play, wrestle, chase your friends, take a nap, and wake up just to do it all over again. The horror.

Our large yard daycare pups and boarders would clearly like everyone to know they are suffering tremendously. Please disregard the wagging tails, happy dances, giant smiles, and the fact that half of them don’t want to leave.

We’ve made it to Day 7 of National Dog Week, and there was only one way to finish off this week… with a name you simply CANNOT say normally.

Everybody say it with us… GIIIIIAAAANIIIIIIIIIIII! 😂❤️

Gianni is our resident class clown AND little brother of the group. You know the one. The kid who is ALWAYS ready to play, always trying to get someone else involved, and occasionally needs a gentle reminder that everyone else has decided playtime is over… even if he has not. 😂

Some days, Gianni is bouncing around with the younger pups, playing his heart out and helping us send everybody home good and tired. Other days? Apparently he’s retired. You’ll find him lounging around, soaking up the sun, and hanging with the seniors like he has absolutely nowhere else to be. ☀️😂 Gianni has range!

But underneath all of that silliness is a genuinely GOOD boy. ❤️ Gianni is incredibly tolerant and has a special way of handling some of our newer pups who are still learning the mood and manners of group play. He lets them figure things out, rolls with their awkward moments, and is always down to make a new friend.

That combination of playful little-brother energy and his ability to just go with the flow is part of what makes Gianni so special. Whether he’s causing chaos with the youngsters or spending his afternoon sunbathing with the senior citizens, he always finds exactly where he belongs.

GIIIIIAAAANIIIIIIIIIIII, we love you, buddy! ❤️ You are silly, patient, playful, completely one of a kind, and such a special part of our daycare family. We’re incredibly lucky to have that goofy face as such a frequent part of our pack.

Day 6 of National Dog Week belongs to a pup who keeps us laughing, keeps the yards interesting, and occasionally has the other dogs wondering if everything is okay upstairs. 😂 Meet Jeffrey, better known around here as our beloved Jeffey-Boy!

If Tigger, a jumping jack, and a giant ball of fluff somehow combined into one dog, we’re pretty sure the result would be Jeffrey. This boy doesn’t just walk through life… he BOUNCES through it. 😂

You truly never know what Jeffey-Boy is going to do next. One minute he’s happily playing with his friends, and the next he’s doing something so completely random and ridiculous that even the other dogs stop what they’re doing and stare at him like, “Dude… are you okay?” Meanwhile, our staff is somewhere nearby laughing until our stomachs hurt.

We can’t tell you exactly where Jeffrey gets all that personality. Maybe it’s just who he is. Maybe it’s the endless supply of energy. Or maybe, just maybe, all of his power is stored inside that perfectly stylish, beautifully groomed afro. 😂❤️

Whatever it is, we hope he never loses it.

Jeffrey is the kind of dog who can turn a bad day around without even trying. His happiness is contagious, his quirkiness is unmatched, and there is absolutely nothing dull about a day when that fluffy face comes bouncing through our doors.

Jeffey-Boy, we love you, Fluffball. ❤️ Thank you for keeping us laughing, keeping your furry friends thoroughly confused, and reminding us that sometimes life is better when you’re just a little bit weird. 🥹😂

Day 5 of National Dog Week belongs to a girl who is quite simply an angel to her very core. Meet our silky-soft, speckled sweetheart, Lainey! 🥹❤️

Lainey is one of those dogs who makes loving her incredibly easy. She walks into daycare ready to be the star of the show, make her rounds, and somehow become friends with just about every dog she meets. She has such a sweet, gentle spirit about her that seems to make everyone, two-legged and four-legged, feel like they’ve known her forever.

And if the dogs don’t steal all of her attention first, don’t worry… Lainey will happily snuggle her way straight into your heart. ❤️ She is warm, affectionate, ridiculously soft, and has a special talent for falling asleep in some of the most adorable positions imaginable. Naturally, this means our camera rolls have more than a few pictures of Miss Lainey. 😂

But honestly, we think she knows.

The second a camera comes out, suddenly the posing begins. 📸😂 Head tilt? Check. Best angle? Found it. Sweet puppy eyes? Activated. It’s almost like she knows we’re trying to capture just how precious she is and wants to make sure we get her good side… although we’re still trying to figure out if she even has a bad one!

Lainey is silly, sweet, social, cuddly, photogenic, and one of those special pups whose presence simply makes the day feel a little warmer.

Lainey, keep being you, long body. 😂❤️ Keep making friends, finding ridiculous sleeping positions, working those camera angles, and snuggling your way into every heart you meet.

We are so incredibly thankful that we get the time and opportunity to know a dog’s love as sweet and warm as yours. You are so very loved, pretty girl. 🥹🐾

Day 4 of National Dog Week belongs to quite possibly the SCARIEST, SMILIEST, most FEROCIOUS dog to ever walk through our doors. Meet Jake, better known around here as our Jakey Boy! 😂❤️

BEWARE! When Jake gets excited, he flashes his absolutely TERRIFYING smile. Teeth out, nose scrunched, whole face involved. Truly horrifying stuff. You may shake in your boots. You may run for cover. You may wonder how such a ferocious creature is allowed to roam freely among us…

JK. 😂

Because anyone who knows Jake knows that behind that big, toothy grin is one of the sweetest boys you could ever meet. His smile shines brighter than the sun, and Jakey does his absolute best to make sure he looks as pretty as possible while showing it off. And honestly? He IS pretty. 🥹

Jake has a heart of gold, a personality that fills the room, and a voice that can probably be heard from several zip codes away. 😂 When Jakey has something to say, trust us, you’re going to hear it! But that big personality is exactly what makes him so incredibly special to us.

He may look a little intimidating when that famous smile comes out, but deep down, Jake is nothing more than a bundle of absolute bliss. He is sweet, silly, expressive, lovable, and completely unforgettable.

Jakey Boy, keep smiling that big, “ferocious” smile and letting that voice echo through our halls. ❤️ Work is simply a better, happier place to be with you in our lives, and we wouldn’t have you any other way.

Day 3 of National Dog Week may belong to one of the tiniest members of our pack, but please don’t let her size fool you. 😂 What Miss Sasha lacks in inches, she makes up for about ten times over in SASS, S***K, and PERSONALITY!

Sasha can be a little reclusive and shy at times, quietly observing the world from the comfort of her favorite person. But once she decides you are one of her people, you quickly learn that this tiny girl has a BIG voice, and she is absolutely not afraid to use it!

Put Sasha down when she has decided she would rather be held? Protest. 😂 Refuse to let her perch across your shoulders like the world’s tiniest furry scarf? Unacceptable. The entire facility WILL be hearing about this injustice immediately.

But when everything is right in Sasha’s world, there is truly no sweeter place to be. ❤️ Give her all the love and attention she deserves and you’ll be rewarded with endless kisses, a permanently warm lap, and a tiny little shadow who makes sure to remind you every five minutes, “Hi. I’m still here. You may continue loving me now.” 🥹

Sasha is proof that some of the biggest personalities really do come in the smallest packages. She is sweet, sassy, cuddly, opinionated, and completely unapologetic about knowing exactly what she wants. And truthfully? We wouldn’t change a single thing about her.

Miss Sasha, we love your tiny little self and your HUGE personality more than you know. Keep demanding those shoulder rides, keeping our laps warm, and making sure this entire building knows when things aren’t quite up to Sasha standards. 😂❤️

We are so excited to welcome our newest DVMs to the Pack!

Dr. Nicholle Restrepo is joining the Sabal Chase Animal Clinic team in Miami, FL! She is passionate about creating lasting relationships with pets and their owners, ensuring that each visit is as stress-free and positive as possible. Her areas of interest include preventative care, dermatology and surgery. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George’s University in 2021 and completed her clinical year at the University of Florida. She is USDA accredited and Fear Free certified. Dr. Restrepo is fluent in both English and Spanish. In her free time, Dr. Restrepo enjoys reading, gardening, and spending quality time with her husband, David, and their beloved pets, Lupita, Louie, and Peach.

Dr. Sarah Ainsworth Hendry is joining the Animal Health Clinic team in Baton Rouge, LA! She spent most of your childhood riding horses and showing dairy cattle, but it was not until high school with the help of her Assumption Ag Teachers that Dr. Hendry became interested in Veterinary Medicine. She graduated in 2016 with a degree in Animal Science from LSU. In 2020, she earned her Doctorate Degree from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. Her professional interests include Dermatology, Wellness Visits, and Internal Medicine. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, reading, attending rodeos, and chasing her adventurous toddler. She has two Basset Hounds – Augustus McCrae and Daisy Mae - along with one super mutt – Scout Lane.

We are so excited to welcome our newest DVMs to the Pack!

Dr. Calabreese is joining the Hope Animal Clinic team in Marble Falls, TX! Dr. Rob grew up in San Angelo, TX, where he started volunteering at a local vet hospital and rescue as a teenager. He always had an interest in caring for animals and this was the first time he turned that interest into passion. In 2016 Dr. Rob graduated from the University of Glasgow School of Veterinary Medicine. In 2019 an opportunity to move to the Texas hill country presented itself and he took a position as Medical Director at a new hospital. Dr. Rob loves spending time with his wife and two children on their small homestead in Blanco.

Dr. Skinner is joining the All Community Animal Hospital team in Porter, TX! She graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. Once graduated, she moved back to her home area where she joined a general practice for approximately 10 years. She has special interests in dentistry, ultrasonography, and dermatology. She also enjoy playing sports, listening to music, and gardening during her spare time. She has 3 dogs and 5 cats who all fight for her attention.

Dr. Smith is joining the Purple Paws Pet Clinic team in Coronado, CA! Dr. Abi Smith recently graduated from the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. She and her husband are new to San Diego, having moved all the way from Michigan with their Basset Hound, Bill, and Leopard Gecko, Jerry. Dr. Smith spent most of her childhood outdoors, exploring the natural world around her. With her parents' encouragement, her passion for animals and the environment blossomed, inspiring her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Smith enjoys vintage swing dancing and exploring nature through running, hiking, rock-collecting and bird-watching.

Dr. Benimana is joining the Nebel Street Animal Hospital team in Rockville, MD! Growing up Dr. Benimana was lucky to have a gentleman farmer father who transmitted to him the love and sense of care of animals. In 2004 he graduated from the University of Montreal, Canada with interest in Mixed practice, including farm animals and pets. He has advanced skills in Surgery and his other areas of interest are dentistry and internal medicine. Outside of veterinary medicine he enjoys travelling, spending time with his family watching movies, playing basketball with his youngest son or exploring new restaurants. He also loves jogging and landscaping.

We are so excited to welcome our newest DVM to the Pack! Dr. Lauren Poulignot is joining the Dog Pawz Leawood/Prairie Village team in Prairie Village, KS! She grew up in Kansas City and is proud to be able to provide high quality, compassionate care to pets in her hometown. She graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012 and has been in general practice in the area ever since. Dr. Poulignot has a passion for ultrasound, surgery, dentistry, and preventative medicine, but loves any good challenge. She and her family reside in Louisburg with their menagerie of animals that include dogs, cats, tortoises, goats, cows, and horses. When they aren’t tending to their animals they can be found outdoors and enjoying family time.

We are so excited to welcome our newest DVM to the Pack! Dr. Hannah Lam is joining the Kings Crossing Animal Hospital team in Kingwood, TX! Dr. Hannah Lam grew up in Kingwood and is excited to be back. Prior to becoming an Associate DVM, she worked as a Vet Tech here at King’s Crossing. She is a loyal Aggie and received both her DVM and her B.S. in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University. She is passionate about all aspects of veterinary medicine and enjoys building connections with people and their pets. In her free time, you’ll find her dancing, attending Aggie football games, trying new restaurants downtown, learning to play the piano, and training her Labrador and Husky.

We are so excited to welcome our newest DVM to the Pack! Dr. Lia Gross is joining the Deer Creek Animal Hospital team in Phoenix, AZ, though she is originally from New Mexico! Dr, Gross graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing in a primary care veterinary setting for over 10 years. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her husband Jordan and their three dogs - Kylee, Dante, and Chaos.

Due to the events of the F3 tornado that hit the Valley View & Sanger, TX area, the Animal Hospital on Milam Road's wonderful staff has gone out into the community & rescued many fur babies and brought them back into the clinic for shelter and care.

There are many pups that they have under their care as well as that have needed treatment. One of their lovely guests is named Willow & was found on the side of the road by a wonderful human & she has a broken leg & pelvis that needs an important extensive surgery! Funds will go towards Willow's surgery, vaccinations, medications, & other treated injuries! They also have some pups that have found their owners but will be staying at the clinic at no cost due to their homes being destroyed or them being hospitalized themselves that funds will go towards.
