Last week in the nest! Our golden nuggets are ready to bring you so much joy, But first let’s make sure you have a few things ready for your new puppy! Most everything can be found at local retailers, Walmart/tractor supply/pet shops. Or you can order online Amazon/chewy or other.

Crate. We prefer a wire crate with a divider. They fold up flat for easy storage and travel. The divider allows you to buy just one size crate and expand it bigger as the pup grows.

Food. We feed diamond puppy here to all of our momma dogs and pups. It can be found at most retailers as well as chewy and tractor supply. I will send you with a zip bag to get you started or if you want to feed something else it will be enough to mix for a few days.

Comfort. A snuggle puppy can be a great investment for the first few weeks as your puppy acclimates to being independent. It has a little battery operated heartbeat that is soothing to these babies especially at night time. They are easy to clean just pull the heart out and throw in washing machine.

Toys. Toys. Toys. They love options but will definitely pick their favorites if you give a decent variety. They love anything plush, squeaky or the crunchy sound. They used to sell a toy that you put an empty water bottle inside and it was a crunchy sound when they played or chewed on it. I couldn’t find a picture of it, that one is always a hit though. There are several pics of toys in the photos here that all of my own past dogs/puppies have loved.

Collar. A small adjustable SHOULD fit everyone. It probably won’t fit for long but start with a small. They are around 5-10lbs when they leave.

P*e pads. I’m not a huge fan of using them in your home however they are good to have one hand for travel. I will send everyone with one for their ride home just in case.

Make sure you setup your vet appointments! Vets stay booked out weeks. Your puppy will need vaccinated for second boosters in 3 weeks so that will be around April 13th. Be sure to have this on their books so you don’t lapse vaccines.

We are headed into our final week with these kiddos. They are all soo sweet, playful and FLUFFY.
If one of these puppies is coming home with you here are a few things to get and have ready for your new baby! I will be reaching out to get pickups scheduled this week.

We feed Diamond Puppy, I will send you with a zip bag to get you started.

They love toys, anything squeaky, crunchy, plush is a favorite.

Something to chew on for crate time, a Kong with a filler is a great option. I do also like bully sticks occasionally

Crate, we prefer the wire crates that have a divider. You will be able to adjust their space as needed for growth and training. This option is nice and folds down flat for storage or travel.
