Meet Alfred & Bindi — a goofy Lab mix and his sweet Aussie mix sister who are looking for their forever home together. ❤️
Alfred is a 3-year-old neutered male Black Lab mix weighing about 84 lbs. Bindi is a 4-year-old spayed female Australian Shepherd mix weighing around 30 lbs.
Both dogs are house-trained, crate-trained, and up to date on vaccines and medications. They have grown up together and are very happy and comfortable in each other’s company. Our strong preference is for them to find a home together.
This is an incredibly difficult decision for our family. We love both of these dogs very much, but with twins on the way and a toddler already at home, our household is becoming much busier than either dog deserves. We want to find them a home where they can receive the time, attention, space, and understanding they deserve.
🐾 About Alfred
Alfred is a big, goofy, energetic boy who loves people, running, and playing fetch. He knows basic commands, including “sit,” and he waits for an “okay” before eating.
He loves being outside and playing, but he is also perfectly happy relaxing indoors with his people. He is affectionate, fun-loving, and has a lot of personality.
Alfred can be very excitable and may jump when he gets excited. He is not good with cats. He has lived happily with Bindi his entire life, and the two get along wonderfully.
Alfred can also be territorial toward unfamiliar dogs, so careful, appropriate introductions would be important. He has never had formal training, but with the right person and consistent training, we believe he has the potential to learn a great deal and could thrive in an active home.
🐾 About Bindi
Bindi is a sweet, smart, quiet little homebody who loves nothing more than being close to her person.
She absolutely loves her crate and is perfectly content relaxing in her bed or crate while her people are away. When her people are home, she loves attention, pets, and lying right beside them.
Bindi is nervous around new people, especially unfamiliar men, and needs time, patience, and space to trust and warm up to someone. She is also very fearful of thunderstorms, fireworks, and gunshots.
We want to be completely transparent about Bindi’s needs: she has resource-guarding tendencies. She has snapped or nipped when someone has gotten too close to something she was protecting or when she felt uncomfortable. She generally does well with other dogs but can also be possessive of things she considers hers.
Because Alfred is large and excitable and Bindi is nervous and needs time to feel comfortable, we believe an adult-only home or a home with older, dog-savvy children would be the best fit for them.
❤️ What We’re Looking For
Our biggest priority is finding Alfred and Bindi a safe, loving, permanent home where they can stay together.
They will come with their crates, harnesses, and other belongings and supplies to help make their transition as easy as possible. We are also willing to help with relocation over a significant distance for the right home.
We know these two aren’t going to be the perfect fit for every family, and that’s okay. We’re looking for someone who understands their individual personalities and needs and is willing to give them the patience, structure, love, and stability they deserve.
If you think you might be the right home for Alfred and Bindi, please reach out and tell us a little about yourself, your home, and your experience with dogs.
We love these two very much, and letting them go is incredibly hard. Our only goal is to find them the loving forever home they deserve — together. ❤️
