“Black cats do bring good luck… at least in Great Britain. 🖤

In British folklore, a black cat crossing your path is a good omen — the opposite of the US superstition. Giving one as a wedding gift brought happiness. Sailors kept them for safe voyages. In Scotland they signal prosperity; in Wales, good health. 🏥

Yet in the US, black cats still wait longer for homes. Don’t overlook them — they love deeply and make amazing companions.
This Black Cat Month, meet Sunshine’s black fur friends and bring a little luck home. 🐈‍⬛

Hi, I’m Tweety! 🐱 I’m a petite 4-month-old grey and white kitten with an adorable gray stripe on my head and a sweet little bobtail. I know, I’m pretty cute! I’m already spayed, litter box trained, and gentle with other cats, so I’m ready to settle right into my forever home. I’m a bit shy at first, but my sweet personality shines through once I get to know you. Come meet me and let’s start our adventure together! 💕

A note from our volunteers: Tweety is such a sweet kitty. She came to us with an injury on her tail that sadly led to an amputation. But now she looks like a cute little bunny rabbit! This makes her a little nervous around strangers, but once you gain her trust, you will never lose it. She adores being held, and the purrs don’t stop! We have worked so hard to get her to where she is, and we know she will love becoming a part of your family.
