Hey Everyone!!
I hope everyone is well and in good health!!
I have one of the biggest favors to ask:
Please help me get one of the puppies from our litter in either a foster home or a furever home.
He is currently at the Harris County Pets A583073. He was originally named Ryder and homed at our neighbors house, and renamed Butkus. For some reason they have spelled his name: Butckus and listed him as 2yrs old.
Unbeknownst to Jeromy and I, our neighbor for the last 4 years was neglectful and did not spend quality time with Butkus. He would leave him for hours outside unsupervised and without human interaction.
When we found a furever home for him (on at least 3 occasions), we were given some excuse as to why they wanted to keep him.
So, while Jeromy and I went to SLC for Thanksgiving, the neighbor surrendered him. I still have not received a sober explanation for what happened, except that he had been surrendered living at the Humane Society & we are devastated.
If Jeromy and I could, we would bring him home in a heartbeat, but, unfortunately, we have a full house with Butkus’ mom & dad, and brother & sister (and they do not get along).
Jeromy and I are willing to pay the adoption fee ($50) and travel expense (within reason).
Butkus is a very sweet 4yr old, who just needs love & attention. From what we know, he does gets along with most other dogs, we are not sure about small children. He has a lot of energy, only because he has not been given daily exercise or real attention. He would be great for someone who likes to exercise and run.
If you all could please consider him, I would be forever grateful.
All the staff we spoke with have all made positive comments regarding his demeanor, and attest to his lovable nature. He follows basic commands, is very smart, continues to learn, he just needs a good home.
