Bella's Enduring Hope Cat Sanctuary

Bella's Enduring Hope Cat Sanctuary Because every cat deserves a loving home. It was in October 2022, that the program expanded to a community cat project.

Since 2021, the founder has been taking in stray cats/kittens; vetting them and finding loving homes for as many as possible. Since that time 46 strays have been trapped/neutered/returned (TNR), all within a close radius of our facility. Kittens (54 so far) stemming from un-neutered adults in the community have been taken in, dewormed, vaccinated, each FIV/feline leukemia tested, spayed/neutered,

nursed back to health when necessary and socialized in the hopes of being adopted. Unfortunately, not all of the kittens taken in are adopted, giving rise to what is now Bella’s Enduring Hope Cat Sanctuary. These cats now have a cage-free home to live and play until that special family comes along to adopt them into their furever home. The program is hoping to expand to other communities in the future; but we have limited resources and must sadly focus on those currently in our care, prior to taking in others. As a nonprofit, the sanctuary runs exclusively on donations to cover all expenses from cat litter to vet care.

Jerry went to his follow-up appointment this morning. When we took him in a week ago, he weighed .88 lbs. Today the porker weighed 1.46 lbs! He apparently isn’t going to let a little eye problem ruin his appetite! On a sad note though, the vet determined the eye will need to be removed. We plan on doing so at the same time he gets neutered, which should be in about 6 weeks.

One week ago today Theo went to his furever home! According to his new family, he has settled in well, getting love and attention all day long. He sleeps beside his new mom as a protector, but if dad moves or goes anywhere Theo is right by his side. His new family loves him, and it sounds like Theo is returning those feelings ten-fold! 🥰

Everyone, meet Jerry! The staff at Lewis Vet Clinic in Linden did a wonderful job in cleaning this handsome boy up!
He’s showing off a uniquely colored coat!
His left eye appears to be alright at the moment. The right eye wasn’t as fortunate.
He appears to be suffering from a cornea puncture. We should know more next week, but he may end up blind in that eye, or worse, need to have it removed.
He is small for his estimated age of 7 weeks (from the number of teeth he has), but you can see by the picture, he was happy for the slurry (canned food and kitten milk) we made!
Keep those prayers coming, we’ve got a ways to go. 🙏🥰

Two weeks after their adoption, Andromeda and Cassiopeia have done their part to take control of their respective new homes! Andromeda took a more mild approach of getting her new siblings to fall in love with her. Cassiopeia, on the other hand, took the strong approach and made her new siblings fall in line, earning the nickname of ‘the conqueror’! Whatever works! You go girls!!!!🥰

The last of the litter of three went to his furever home! Sirius was indoctrinated into family life by spending the day playing with the smaller humans in the house! My money’s on the fact that both parties slept very well that night!🥰
