The jets work similarly to the jets in a hot tub, creating extra water resistance while he walks. This gives him a little more of a challenge and can help work on strength, balance, stability, and overall conditioning — all while the water helps reduce stress on his joints.

Everyone say hi to Bane 🖤🐾

Bane, a Perro de Presa Canario, stopped by Sage Canine Rehabilitation for his PT session and was the definition of a gentle giant.

Originally bred in the Canary Islands as working dogs, Presa Canarios are known for their strength, intelligence, and loyalty. While they may have an impressive presence, anyone who meets Bane knows he’s just as sweet as he is strong.

Physical therapy helps pets like Bane maintain strength, mobility, and comfort so they can continue doing the things they love. Whether recovering from an injury, managing arthritis, or staying active as they age, rehab is tailored to each pet’s individual needs.

Before getting started with his session, Leo spent some time enjoying laser therapy—a non-invasive treatment that can help reduce pain and inflammation, improve circulation, and support the body’s natural healing process.

Laser therapy is commonly used for pets recovering from injuries or surgery, as well as those managing arthritis and other chronic conditions. Best of all, most pets find it relaxing and comfortable!
