We are a 501c3 registered in the https://www.Benevity.com and https://www.Cauze.com giving platforms. Look us up under our rescue name. We are a group of volunteers in southern Idaho that is committed to helping homeless, abandoned, and at-risk animals find happy furever homes. We operate only on financial and tangible donations; we receive no government, shelter, or grant monies. We are primarily foster-based in Treasure Valley, Magic Valley, and Wood River Valley, and we use boarding kennels, as necessary, when we can't find foster homes. We rescue from high-kill shelters, trap abandoned and feral dogs, and intervene in small animal hoarding/neglect situations. We also rehabilitate dogs and cats with behavior or medical issues. We place animals in homes within a 10-hour-radius of Twin Falls or Boise. Fosters ARE the kingpin in what we do...Without them, we could only rescue a few and hopefully network the rest. We provide almost everything that a foster might need for an animal. The foster provides a safe, loving, and nurturing home. Note that many fosters provide many of the supplies (e.g., food, beds) needed for their furry foster, but it is not required. All dogs and cats are spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoption fees range from $65 (cats) - $300 (puppies) depending on the animal's age.

💔 Fritz is only 6 years old, but every day is a struggle.

This sweet Dachshund was surrendered to Friends Furever Animal Rescue and quickly stole our hearts. He is one of the most loving, people-oriented dogs you could ever meet. He wants nothing more than to cuddle close to the people he loves.

Unfortunately, Fritz suffers from severe perianal hernias that have caused chronic bowel impaction and ongoing pain. Something as basic as going to the bathroom has become difficult, painful, and sometimes impossible for him.

We have already helped Fritz through two surgeries, but he still desperately needs a specialized procedure scheduled for Friday that could finally give him relief and a chance at a normal life.

Without this surgery, Fritz's quality of life will continue to decline. If we cannot get him the help he needs, we may eventually be forced to make heartbreaking decisions that none of us want to face.

The estimated cost of surgery and care is approximately $7,000.

🐾 Daisy Update 🐾

We wanted to provide everyone with an update on sweet Daisy and thank those who have donated, shared, and kept her in their thoughts.

On Tuesday, Daisy returned to Healing Hands Veterinary Clinic for a recheck of her severe ear infection. Because of the extent of the infection and the amount of debris present, she had to undergo anesthesia so the veterinarian could thoroughly examine her ears and determine the extent of the damage.

The good news is that multiple foxtails were discovered and removed from her right ear as well as her left ear, which was also beginning to show signs of infection. These painful foreign bodies were likely responsible for much of the irritation and discomfort Daisy has been experiencing.

Unfortunately, the examination also revealed that Daisy's right eardrum has ruptured. While this sounds frightening, the veterinarian is optimistic that with proper treatment, time, and follow-up care, her eardrum should heal.

Daisy is now recovering and continuing her medications, but she will need additional monitoring and a future recheck appointment to ensure the infection has cleared and her ear is healing properly.

We are incredibly grateful for the support that has helped Daisy receive the care she needed. Donations toward her recent procedure at Healing Hands and her upcoming recheck appointment are greatly appreciated.

🐾 UPDATE ON STINKY - ANOTHER SURGERY IS NEEDED
URGENT MEDICAL DONATIONS NEEDED FOR STINKY 🐾

Many of you have been following the journey of our tiny presumed dwarf kitten, Stinky. After recently undergoing surgery to correct a severe entropion condition in one eye, Stinky returned to the vet this week to have her stitches removed.

Unfortunately, we received more bad news.

While her first eye is healing, the veterinarian has now determined that Stinky has developed entropion in her other eye as well. This painful condition causes the eyelid to roll inward, allowing the eyelashes to scrape directly against the eyeball with every blink. Left untreated, it can cause chronic pain, ulcers, scarring, and even loss of vision.

As a result, Stinky now requires a second surgery to correct her remaining eye and give her the pain-free life she deserves.

Stinky has already overcome so much in her young life, from a severe eye infection and abscess to a broken tail. She continues to amaze us with her resilience, but she needs our help once again.

🐾 FRITZ NEEDS A RECOVERY FOSTER — COULD THAT BE YOU? 🐾

Our brave little sausage will need the most important part of healing when Fritz is through his surgery: a cozy home with someone by his side. 🌟

Fritz’s surgery has been rescheduled to June 19th or 29th — because his condition requires a more complex procedure with a cost of $7,000-$8000, we want to make sure everything is in place for him to have the best possible outcome.

Fritz is a sweet 6-year-old dachshund who has fought hard and come so far. Post-surgery recovery means he needs a foster family where someone is home most of the day — not because he’s difficult, but because he deserves to feel safe, loved, and not alone while he heals. 🩺❤️

We wanted to provide everyone with an update on sweet Daisy and thank those who have donated, shared, and kept her in their thoughts.

UPDATE ON DAISY - LITTLE POODLE X MAMA WITH JEROME SHELTER

First, thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, and kept Daisy in your thoughts. We have an update after her veterinary visit, and unfortunately her condition is more serious than we initially realized.

Daisy's ear infection is severe and involves multiple types of bacteria. One of the bacteria identified is a rod-shaped bacteria, which can be extremely difficult to treat and is often associated with environmental contamination and chronic ear infections. This type of infection can be particularly stubborn and may require prolonged treatment and multiple veterinary visits to resolve.

Her ear was so painful and inflamed that she was shaking her head, walking in circles, and rubbing against anything she could find in an attempt to relieve the discomfort.

Because Daisy is still actively nursing her seven puppies, the veterinary team at Healing Hands was unable to sedate her for the deep ear cleaning that would normally be performed in a case this severe. At this time, they were also unable to determine the condition of her eardrum.

Daisy must return to Healing Hands on Tuesday for another examination. The veterinary team will clean her ear again and attempt to determine whether they can finally visualize her eardrum. Depending on how much the infection improves over the next few days, sedation and a deeper ear cleaning may still be necessary to assess whether there is any permanent damage.

Daisy's veterinary bill has already reached approximately $250, and additional charges will be incurred during Tuesday's follow-up visit and treatment.

Meet Daisy, a tiny Poodle mix mama who gave birth to seven puppies on May 26 while at Jerome Animal Shelter. She is currently being temporarily fostered so her puppies—especially the smallest runts—have the best chance to grow, thrive, and stay healthy.

While caring for her newborn babies, Daisy has developed what appears to be a severe ear infection or other serious ear condition. Her ear is filled with excessive wax, pus, and possibly blood. She is clearly in distress—constantly shaking her head, walking in circles, rubbing her head and ear against anything she can find, and struggling to get comfortable while trying to care for her litter.

This sweet mama cannot continue suffering. She needs to be seen at Healing Hands Emergency Veterinary Hospital today so we can determine what is causing her pain and begin treatment immediately.

As many of you know, emergency veterinary care is expensive, and Daisy's needs come at a time when rescues and shelters are already stretched beyond capacity. We are asking for help from our community to ensure this devoted mama receives the care she desperately needs.
