❌🐴PET PEEVES!🐴❌

Let’s have a little fun! I want to hear everyone’s horse or barn-related pet peeves! 👀🤣

And I’m not talking about things that are necessarily right or wrong! I’m talking about those little things that drive you absolutely CRAZY for no particular reason, other than the fact that you’re just picky about them! 😂

We ALL have those little things that have to be done a certain way, even if there’s absolutely nothing wrong with doing them differently!

Let’s hear your weirdest, funniest, or most ridiculous horse-related pet peeves! 🤔

I’ll drop a few of mine in the comments! 👇

🐴🔥 LET’S HEAR THOSE UNPOPULAR HORSE OPINIONS!

What’s one opinion you have about horses, training, or riding that you KNOW not everyone is going to agree with?!?

Keep it respectful, but let’s hear them!👀👇

➰🔻BUILT FROM THE GROUND UP! 🔻➰
— 30 Day Groundwork Fundamentals —

Have a young horse that needs to learn the ropes before it’s time to start riding? That’s exactly what my 30-Day Groundwork Fundamentals Program is all about!

This program is geared primarily toward weanlings - Coming 2 year olds, giving them a head start on learning the basics and developing good manners before it’s time to begin their riding careers!

I absolutely LOVE working with the babies and giving them the best possible start in life! There is so much more to starting a young horse than just getting that first ride on them. In my opinion, some of the most important lessons they’ll ever learn happen LONG before anyone swings a leg over them!

Being young isn’t an excuse for bad manners! Young horses need boundaries, consistency, and accountability just like any other horse. The respect you establish on the ground today makes for a safer, more willing partner tomorrow!

This is Willie, he is a coming 2-year-old c**t who has just completed his 30 days in my Groundwork Fundamentals Program! I wanted to share a little video showing what he’s learned and some of the things I expect a young horse to know by the end of their 30 days with me in this program! ⬇️

✅Halter Broke
✅Basic groundwork
✅Respecting personal space
✅Yielding hindquarters
✅Standing tied patiently
✅Ground tying
✅Picking up all four feet
✅Standing for baths
✅Loading & backing out of a trailer
✅Accepting a saddle
✅Desensitization & confidence building
And SO much more!

Whether your youngster is eventually headed to the show pen, down the trails, or just needs to learn how to be a respectful, well-mannered horse, it all starts on the ground!

So if you’ve got a baby sitting out in the pasture waiting for its turn, BRING ME THOSE BABIES!
Not halter broke? Never been handled? Doesn't know the first thing about leading, tying, or respecting personal space? PERFECT! 🤩 That's exactly what this program is for! I love getting the opportunity to start these babies from scratch and give them a solid foundation right from the beginning!

Building better horses, from the ground up! ❤️

My Stallion Gunner Boy Jr stepped into a completely different world at Silver Spurs Riders Club for his very first English show, and I honestly couldn’t be more pleased with him!❤️

He’s only worn an English saddle THREE times in his entire life, yet we decided to take him to a show and see what he could do!

I showed him in his flat classes, but I want to give a BIG thank you to Lyndsie Warner for stepping in and riding him in his jumping classes! She had never ridden JJ before, he came straight off the trailer, she got one quick ride to get acquainted with him, and then off to the show pen they went! They did absolutely beautiful together and even brought home some ribbons! I couldn’t be happier with how they handled it, especially considering neither one had much time to prepare!

We finished the day with:

🏆 1st – Open Hunter Hack
🏆 1st – Open Hunter Under Saddle
🏆 1st – Open Discipline Rail
🏆 1st – Open Hunt Seat Equitation
🥈 2nd – Open Hunter Hack Cross Rail

The ribbons are exciting, but what means the most to me is the horse underneath the saddle…. A stallion that can walk into an unfamiliar environment, take on a completely new job, a rider who’s never been on him before, and take it all in stride without making a fuss about any of it! And let’s not forget the weather decided to drop 40 degrees overnight!🤣

I’ve always believed a truly good horse shouldn’t be limited to just one discipline. While reining will always be JJ’s main job, I love having him step outside of that world and showing just how much more he has to offer!

I don’t take him out to try new things because I expect him to be the best at everything we do. I do it because I want people to see the kind of mind this stallion has and just how willing he is to give absolutely anything a try, without batting an eye!

At the end of the day, that’s exactly the kind of mind I hope he passes on to his babies. A horse that’s willing, forgiving, levelheaded, and happy to go to work, no matter what job you put in front of him. Cannot wait to see his first babies hit the ground in March 2027!😎

You can breed for a lot of things, but a mind like that is worth its weight in gold! ❤️

📣 2027 — TRAINING UPDATE! 📣🐴

First off, I want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has trusted me with their horses over the years! I truly love what I do, and I’m so thankful for the continued support, referrals, and opportunities to work with so many great horses! I have some wonderful clients! I can never say thank you enough!

With that being said, starting January 1st, 2027, my training prices will be increasing!

I have tried to hold off on raising my prices for as long as possible, but unfortunately, just like everything else, the cost of doing business continues to rise. Between bedding, hay, fuel, facility upkeep, and the time and effort that goes into each individual horse (plus, as we all know, horses break EVERYTHING! 😂), I have to make sure I’m able to continue doing what I love while also making it worthwhile!

To put it into perspective, this past year I’ve practically been riding horses for free! 😂 By the time all the expenses were covered, there wasn’t much left beyond making sure everyone’s horses were fed and well taken care of. As much as I absolutely love what I do, this is also my full-time job and how I make a living. I pour a lot of time, hard work, and dedication into every horse that comes through my program, I go to bed every night thinking how I can make the horse better tomorrow! I have to make sure my business can continue to grow and be sustainable for years to come!

I am currently FULLY BOOKED for the remainder of 2026! 🗓️

If you have a horse you’re wanting to send for training, PLEASE don’t wait until the last minute to reach out! Send me a message now so we can get you on my list for 2027 and come up with a game plan for you and your
horse!

I don’t believe in rushing horses through a program just to get them in and out the door. Every horse is different, and my goal has always been to give each one the time, patience, and foundation they deserve. Once they are in training, they are welcome to stay longer than we originally planned if additional time is needed. My priority is doing what’s best for each individual horse, not rushing through a timeline!

My main focus is HORSEMANSHIP! ❤️

Let’s get you and your horse on the same page, building a better partnership through communication, consistency, and a solid foundation!

Way to go Aliegh and her mare, KitKat! 🤩👏

I’ve had the pleasure of having KitKat in training, and Aliegh came out today to spend some time riding her to work on stops! This is KitKat’s first week in slide plates, and these two are doing great! So exciting to see the progress they’re making and watch everything start coming together!

Proud of both of them and can’t wait to see what’s ahead for this pair!🐴❤️
