🐾 FOUND A KITTEN OUTSIDE? 🐾
Before bringing a kitten home, take a moment to assess the situation. Mom may be nearby—even if you don’t see her right away. ❤️
Use the CASA method to consider the kitten’s Condition, Age, Situation, and Access to resources.
🟢 GOOD CONDITION: Clean, alert, well-fed, and not in distress? Mom is likely caring for her, so it’s usually best to leave the kitten where she is and monitor from a safe distance.
🔴 BAD CONDITION: Dirty, visibly underweight, in distress, or experiencing a medical crisis? The kitten may truly be orphaned and could need swift intervention.
