Join us for a series of educational talks covering a range of current and topical subjects. We will also offer Mule Wagon Rides (weather permitting) and tours of our Equine Hospital.

The program is approved for 6 hours of veterinary and veterinary technician continuing education (program category – scientific) by the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. The cost is $30 for general participants or $60 for CE credit participants.

We’re excited to debut the newly updated Missouri Pet Memorial website!

The refreshed site at www.mopetmemorial.com makes it easier for veterinary professionals and pet owners to celebrate and remember the animals that have touched their lives.

For Veterinary Practices : Veterinarians can create an account or log in to submit Animal Archives memorials online at the veterinary rate of $10 per memorial. Practices may pay at the time of submission or choose convenient monthly invoicing.

A Resource to Share with Grieving Clients : The Animal Archives can also provide clients with a meaningful way to memorialize a beloved pet. For $25, members of the public can create an account and submit photos, stories and memories celebrating their pet’s life. Submitted memorials may also be selected as an Animal Archive of the Year.

Honoring Those Who Serve the Profession : While visiting the new site, be sure to explore the Veterinary Honor Roll and Practice Staff Honor Roll, recognizing individuals whose contributions have made a lasting impact on veterinary medicine and animal care in Missouri.

MCA Press Release - Gov. Kehoe Grants Temporary Relief on Red Dye Diesel and Increases Livestock Hauling Limit

Columbia, MO., September 30, 2026 – Today, Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe issued an executive order to provide relief to farm and ranch families dealing with unusually high fuel costs. The order provides temporary relief for Missouri farmers, ranchers and agricultural haulers. Farmers will be able to use red-dyed diesel on public state highways during the temporary relief period, helping offset rising fuel costs. Additionally, livestock producers and agricultural haulers will see the livestock hauling limit increase from 85,500 pounds to up to 90,000 pounds, allowing more livestock to be moved per load.

“This is going to make a real difference for our farmers,” says Anita Vanderwert, President of the Missouri Cattlemen’s Association. “Fuel and transportation costs are a real concern as we are seeing diesel rise to almost $7 dollars a gallon. This gives producers some much-needed relief and flexibility. Missouri farmers and ranchers are thankful to Gov. Kehoe for recognizing the challenges facing agriculture and taking action when producers need it most.”

Important Information: Under the governor’s order, Missouri will temporarily suspend state enforcement of restrictions on the use of red-dyed diesel in highway vehicles from September 30 through October 30.

It is also important to note that the order applies only to state enforcement and does not waive federal dyed-diesel restrictions or authorize use on interstates or U.S. highways where prohibited by federal law.
