It's been a busy few weeks. But I still managed to squeeze in some time to create!

Here's what I'm currently working on. A curious little jumping spider, up close and personal. 🤭

Now I'm not usually a fan of spiders, but I have grown to appreciate these little guys and their big personalities. Still won't catch me holding one though. Baby steps. 🤣 🕷

So I've been working at a wildflower nursery this summer. It's been super fun seeing so much wildlife and taking care of the plants.

Today I made a new friend. A baby eastern fence lizard!

Little dude was so chill, he stayed with me most of the day while I pulled weeds. He had lots of naps, and gave us all plenty of side-eye. 🥰🦎
Totally made working in this heat a lot easier. Bless his little soul.

Hey there everyone!
Sorry for not posting much artwork lately. I seem to have hit a creative block, it happens from time to time. I promise, I will get back to posting more of my projects soon.
Once I figure out what those projects are... 😅

In the mean time, I am studying up on native wildflowers to try and spark some inspiration! And also because I'm a nerd for nature. 🤓

I highly recommend this field guide book to anyone who wants to know more about native midwestern flowers and plants. It's organized by color and it's awesome!

Sometimes, painting is trial and error. Sometimes, you get it right the first time. Other times, you have to scrap it all and start from scratch. 😅
I liked how the clouds turned out the first time, but I'm focusing my attention to every tiny detail. Adding depth, layers, a more realistic vibe.

It's always a work in progress, and I always love a good challenge. Practice isn't about perfection, it's about learning and growing your skills! 🥰✨️☁️

Took myself to Hobby Lobby for canvas, plus some new paints and brushes.
I have been itching to do another painting for a while now. Today felt like the perfect time to start.
