🐾 Happy Friday from the furry paws at Weathered Rock Veterinary Clinic! 🐾

Just a friendly reminder about our fundraiser happening at the clinic! Stop by to pick up your pumpkin 🎃 and order a bag of delicious Ready Pop popcorn 🍿.

All proceeds benefit a new local foundation dedicated to helping Mid-Missouri families facing emergency pet care expenses. Their mission is to ensure that pets can receive the care they need when unexpected situations arise.

This organization is just getting started, and your support can make a real difference for families and their beloved pets in our community. Every pumpkin purchased and every bag of popcorn sold helps them continue their mission.

Thank you for supporting local pets, local families, and a great cause! ❤️🐾

🐾🚨 Rabies Confirmed in Cole County 🚨🐾

A bat in Cole County recently tested positive for rabies. The bat was in contact with a stray cat on the east side of Jefferson City. The cat is being euthanized and will also be tested.

Although the risk to the public is considered low, this is an important reminder to protect your pets and family by:

🐶 Keeping pets current on rabies vaccinations
🐱 Avoiding contact with stray or unfamiliar animals
🦇 Teaching children to stay away from wildlife
🏡 Contacting animal control if you encounter a sick or unusually behaving animal

Rabies is preventable, and keeping your pets vaccinated is one of the best ways to protect them, your family, and the community. ❤️🐾

If you’re unsure whether your pet’s rabies vaccine is current, contact Weathered Rock Vet to check their records and get them protected! 🩺🐾

🐾 Staff Spotlight: Cadin

If you’ve been in the clinic lately, you may have noticed one very important face isn’t here as often — our amazing tech, Cadin! He’s back at MU working toward vet school, and we couldn’t be more proud.

We’ll admit we’re biased, but we think he’s a total shoe‑in (and not just because he’s worn out a few pairs running around our clinic).

Even though he’s busy with classes, you can still catch him here every Saturday morning — always ready to work, bringing a great attitude, and caring for pets like a pro.

Cadin is truly valued by our team and our clients alike. His kindness, dedication, and steady presence have made him an essential part of Weathered Rock, and we’re grateful for all he brings to our clinic family.

🐾 Happy 4th of July!
As fireworks start tonight, please remember to keep your pets safe, calm, and indoors. Loud booms can be frightening for many animals, so a quiet room, soothing music, and extra cuddles can make a big difference.

Our clinic will be closed today for the holiday and will reopen Monday at 7:30 AM.
Stay safe and enjoy the day with your furry family! ❤️🇺🇸
