Do you want your dog to race in the first ever Kitty’s Critter Care Kenpuppy Derby? We’re now accepting entries for racers! Please read below and fill out the form linked at the bottom of this post!
🏇 This will be dog races in heats similar to the Dachshund Derby at Oktoberfest. Dogs will be placed in heats with dogs of similar sizes (Small, Medium, and Large). We will race through the heats until a winner is crowned for each category!
🏇 For the safety of the racers and their humans, we are limiting racers to 55 pounds.
🏇 All racers must be fixed, fully vaccinated, and friendly to humans and other dogs.
🏇 The goal of this event is to raise money for RISE UP Foundation, a local nonprofit who provides prevention education to young people to stop sexual violence before it starts. To make this fundraiser a success, there will be a challenge for each racer to find some sponsors (but not required!) The top three fundraising dogs will be recognized and awarded. Businesses and individuals sponsoring racers will be recognized online and at the event. Sponsorship funds will be made to RISE UP Foundation, which is a 501c3 . More about sponsorships in posts to follow, but be asking your contacts now if they’d like to participate!
🏇 Cost to enter your racer is $15, which Kitty’s Critter Care will collect for organizational purposes; all racers’ entry amounts will be donated to RISE UP Foundation. Entry can be paid via Venmo , or by cash/check at daycare or at the event.
