My Oklahoma brothers and sisters in camo… tomorrow is the day. 🏹
Vacation days are approved.📆 Bows are by the door. Alarms are set for an hour that shouldn’t legally exist. And somewhere in Oklahoma, somebody is already picturing a 12-point 🦌 walking out at 17 yards.
Before the shot, dream big. 💭
After the shot, slow down. 🐌
Take note of the shot angle, location 📍and the deer’s reaction. Mark where it was standing and where you last saw it. Look for blood, hair or bone.
If the blood 🩸 stops, you stop. 🛑
Don’t grid search. Back out and make the call before boots cover the woods and potentially push the deer farther.
Not every questionable shot needs a tracking dog. Sometimes a phone call and a little patience are all it takes to figure out the best next move. 📞
Watched yours fall? Those known-down deer are valuable training opportunities for our dogs, too. 🐾
Donations 💰 and tips toward fuel, our time, and dogs are always appreciated.
Tomorrow morning, 🥱 Oklahoma gets quiet. The sun comes up, the woods wake up, ☕️ and somebody’s heart starts beating loud enough to scare every deer in the county. 😂
Shoot straight. 🏹 Pay attention.
Be patient.⏳️
If the blood runs out, Wh***ey Bent finds where he clocked out. 🦌
Good luck tomorrow, Oklahoma! 👊
