Adoptions include spay/neuter; de-worming; age-appropriate vaccinations; microchipping; heartworm testing for dogs. Adoption fees:
Dogs ............... $125.00
Puppies.............$200.00
Cats ................ $40.00

Donate-time, supplies, or cash. Each and every donation is appreciated. By far, the biggest outflow of money is to pay our veterinary bills. Many animals coming into the Pet Adoption Center have serious health issues and DCHS is committed to providing the highest level of care possible to them.

Apparently there is a very specific type of beagle people are looking for, and Geebs would like to know what it is.

Because Bagel the Beagle was adopted in 3 DAYS.

Geebs has been here almost 2 MONTHS.

Did Bagel have a better name? Was it the carb association? 🥯

Whatever the reason, we need to remind everyone that GEebs is a beagle too!

He's 2 years old, good with kids, good with other dogs, handsome, and ready for his next chapter.

We think he's been waiting long enough.

Otto has a theory about why his sisters got adopted immediately while he’s still here…

Pretty privilege. 😂

You see, his sisters had those long, flowy locks. Otto? He’s rocking the shorter-hair look. Apparently, he feels he’s being discriminated against by the adoption process. 😤

But honestly, we think Otto is pretty darn handsome exactly as he is! 💙

At just 7 months old, Otto is still very much a puppy—and he has the energy to prove it! He’s looking for someone who can keep up with his growing body AND his puppy antics. And speaking of growing… this boy is already BIG. We’re expecting him to be an absolute unit when he reaches his full size! 😳

Otto has done well with other dogs and has met some kids, too. Now he just needs someone to look past his lack of luxurious locks and realize what a fantastic boy he is.

Long hair or not, Otto deserves his turn! 🐾

Update- we have received multiple applications and will be reviewing shortly.

Meet Mr. Slink! 🐾 This old man has found himself in need of a home to retire in. Here's a little bit about Slink-

-10 years old
-Shorthair dachshund
-Potty trained
-Good with other dogs
-Good with cats
-Good with kids
-Still spunky but likes a good napping spot

Slink is currently in a foster home so an approved application will be needed to set up a meeting with him. If you can provide a retirement home for him, please apply at the link in the comments.

Parents of kids, toddlers, babies, and tiny humans everywhere… WE HAVE A DOG FOR YOU. 📣😂

Meet Regina. ❤️

This girl has lived in a foster home with a toddler AND an infant, and she was absolutely amazing with both. She’s the kind of dog who seems to look at toddler-level chaos and think, “Is that all you’ve got?” 😂

She’s also made a few canine friends during her shelter stay, so she’s not opposed to having some four-legged friends around either!

The catch? Regina needs a home without cats. 🐱🚫

But if your family is full of little people, big love, and probably a fair amount of chaos… Regina may be your girl. 🥰

Now somebody please come adopt this amazing dog before we start taking it personally that she’s still here. 😂🐾
