Sometimes, the best therapy horse isn’t the fanciest horse in the barn. ❤️
Angels on Horseback is searching for a special horse or pony to join our herd and help us continue changing lives through therapeutic riding and lessons.
We are looking for an experienced horse who is kind, gentle, steady, reliable, sound, willing, and SAFE around children. Most importantly, we want a horse who enjoys their job and would love a quieter, more rewarding career.
✨ We are NOT looking for a fancy show horse.
✨ Safety and temperament are our #1 priorities.
We would love to hear about horses who may be:
🐴 Stepping down from a more demanding career
🎓 Looking for a new home because their rider is heading off to college
🏆 Finished with their competitive career
💙 Ready for a quieter job with lots of love and attention
🌿 Looking for a place where they can become part of a herd and make a difference in the lives of children
🐎 Our Ideal Horse/Pony
• Age: 8–16 years old (17 maximum)
• Height: 14–16 hands
• Sound and healthy
• Steady, reliable, and willing
• People-loving and comfortable around children
• Experienced and confident in their work
• Ready for a new chapter and a less strenuous job
• Ideally available through a FREE CARE LEASE
We believe horses have an incredible way of helping people heal, grow, learn, and find confidence. ❤️
We are looking for that special horse who may be ready to slow down—but isn’t finished making a difference.
