Radish pods are rad and delicious!

Radish pods are rad and delicious!

Pull a radish for the root and you get exactly one radish. Fair enough — that's the deal.
But leave that same plant in the ground, resist the urge to tidy it up, and the math changes completely. A single radish plant, left to its own devices, can produce tens — sometimes hundreds — of crisp, edible morsels that cost you nothing extra and barely any effort at all.
Same seed. Same patch of soil. Same water. A wildly bigger return for doing, quite literally, nothing.
It might be the laziest way to multiply a harvest I've ever come across.
I'll tell you everything you need to know in the comments - including some delicious ways to prepare and eat these pods.

Whether you're a full-time farmer, a community advocate, a long-time local food lover, or just getting started with your backyard garden, we all have a role to play in growing a bright future for small farms, ecosystems, and communities – and now is the perfect time to expand your impact. 🌱 During the month of June, the Carolina Farm Stewardship Association is hosting a special membership drive, inviting you to become a CFSA member and deepen your commitment to sustainable, organic food and agriculture.

Become a CFSA Member: www.carolinafarmstewards.org/membership

The investment and support of our members powers CFSA's work across the Carolinas, helping us expand local food supply chains, keep food dollars local, provide direct assistance to small-scale farmers, and fight for policies that support rural economies, healthy communities, and environmental protections. 💡 Our collective of members, thousands strong, works together to bring our vision for a sustainable, thriving food system to life. Will you be part of this critical work?

Together, we're planting the seeds for change.

Well Hello out there Ethical Omnivores! How the Hell are ya?

“🌱 Regenerative organic will one day become the new conventional

Why? Because if it where the norm today, there would be no single reason why to go to a system we call conventional today

I'm not saying it's easy to make the transition from conventional to the new conventional, it takes years and trials and errors

But the farmers that go in that direction are happy they did

As a society and as financial institutions we need to support farmers in this transition in any way possible

Most and for all: all subsidies should go towards regeneration, no exceptions

👉🏼 How do you think we can make this transition go faster?
